With the Pay to Win strategy why use normal troops at all when you can field heroes? A hundred Sorceresses will easily kill the unit of 100 black guard. Having one very wide unit with the Sorceresses might be a good idea though - you could use a few of the Sorceresses to boost the units armor to 1+ ...

I think the cast many low level spells is a good way to go now - especially with lores like shadow. Another thing these changes might cause is that combos become more viable. shade death star + pegasus lords (ring of hotek might be interesting for one of them) + hydras + 1 warrior unit to be sacrificed perhaps?

Morathi with sac dagger is kinda funny, she can often cast the whole lore in one turn.

Well the problem with Black Guard is that their unit size is limited to 20, they still have their uses, but that restricts them alot. Hmm the Ring could be rather annoying, but its not that hard to destroy it. If Black Guard has it, then just shoot them down, they are really vulnerable to shooting (especially to hydras flame...) It's possible to kill things that are out of the rings range anyway. Haven't played against the new WoC...

Hmm ye, I will add at least the ring to a Dread Knight. I only know 1 player who likes to take heavier magic, so magic defence isn't very important here. So you would all agree that changing the Cauldron to a caddy is worth it?
