Ironguts... 'nuf said. Not many units dish out the pain like those bad boys. Add some gut magic buffs and they are just about untouchable.

The end of the draich that fits to the hands of the executioners has a rounded 'nob' which is very difficult to drill into. Use a hobby file to flatten off the nob, this will give you a much better surface to begin drilling.

Crone Hellebron punches holes in just about anything. Run her in a horde of executioners that includes and BSB with ASF banner and you have a near unstoppable unit of killy death.

Against O&Gs they are very handy for jumping on mangler squigs and drawing out fanatics. Against Lizards you place them behind your main blocks and charge them out at those annoying skink skirmishers. Against mage bunkers you change charge in and get a bunch of attacks against the squshy caster....

Really nice work. A very unique and effective colour scheme - one of the most interesting i've seen for quite some time. Well done.

I have run a unit of 30 with Death Hag BSB and ASF banner in several tournaments. I give the unit the banner of swiftness so that it can get to where it needs to go quickly. I usually put Crone Hellebron in there too but not always and depending what I'm in combat with, I will bless it with either t...

The three chaps in the front are indeed the older metal Corsairs command group. There's an old school beast master up the back and, of course Shadowblade. The Corsairs and the Beastmaster are lovely models, but Shadowblade is really poor IMHO, particularly the face and hair.

So I've been off painting a Warriors army for a while but that doesn't mean my Druchii have been abandoned completely. Below are some recent additions. http://i407.photobucket.com/albums/pp153/GrimmaDarksun/Dark%20Elves/ScanDEWitchElves.jpg Flocking still to be done but it's quite humid out my way a...

The World's End Radio podcast guys are based in Perth and there is a very active gaming scene over there. There are a number of independent clubs, regular tournaments with good attendances and a very popular Blood Bowl League. Contact Luke at World's End Radio. I'm sure he'd be more than happy to pr...

Game last week - My Hydra is charged in the flank by a block of goblins because he failed to break an ork chariot that he had charged the previous round. I use my breath weapon... roll double 1, all the handlers miss, hydra hits with 2 out of 7 attacks, roll 1 for thunderstomp and the goblins get a ...

The rules do state that the point selected as the bounce for the cannon must be in line of site. So if you park your Hydra 10" behind a hill they cannot choose a point in front of the Hydra to land the cannon ball other than the crest of the hill. They can, of course, choose a direct hit on the...

So the tournament has been run and won. A brief wrap up of my games is: Game 1 vs O&G: 20 - 4 (scoring was capped at 16 - 4 with an extra 4 points for killing over half his army) Byron was pretty new to WFB and didn't win any games in the tournament. Highlight are the harpies going forward and r...

So here's a question - once the Hydra is killed does that leave the handlers on the board. I've been playing it so that when the Hydra dies the model (including handlers) is removed, but reading the FAQ leaves me wondering if it's just the Hydra that dies, leaving the beastmasters to fend for themse...

Just a note on using the T of the mount - p.10 specifically states that cavalry models take characteristics tests using the highest stat. So COK are T4 for toughness tests but T3 for combat. I get the impression that where the rulebook states that the mounts toughness is 'never used' they intended t...

When facing mortars, doom rockets or other nasty template weapons the units deploy 2 deep and wide, otherwise the Execs can go 3 deep to get the horde benefit and depending on what they are facing the Witch Elves will either want to use their ranks for combat res or get as many attacks in as possibl...

I do like the idea of the witch elves as a secondary character bunker. The reason I didn't field any is because the are the one unit I don't have but I'll give them a go with proxies and see what happens. Generally I would prefer to have the save from the corsairs but having another place to put the...
