Lookin' good, friend. I like the idea of a bunch of hard as nails Druchii using whips instead of swords. Makes them look much more dynamic and different from everyone elses DE. Color scheme looks great, too.

Need Hydra Legs

Hey everyone. Back when I received my spearhead, I ended up getting an extra hydra torso in my box. Combined with the fact that you get extra heads and an extra tail with the kit, I now have a complete second hydra...except for the two right legs. I can't seem to find them anywhere. Anyone have a pa...

Personally, I would do the 500pt blocks thing, and switch between them. That being said, paint whatever you want, whenever you want! It's a hobby, not a prison sentence.

I love it. Who's to say the Dark Elves wouldn't wear crazy rainbow colored uniforms, just to confuse and upset their enemies? Or paint their cold ones stupid colors to make their parents angry. Or even to paint someone ELSES cold ones stupid colors before the battle? I got my balls stepped on for th...

Thanks for all the votes, everyone. I think that the first entry deserves a place somewhere in the D.R.A.I.C.H., since A: It's totally rad, and B: They actually bothered to enter.

Looking awesome. I actually have a little pile of bits for my dragon rider which is going to look shockingly similar to yours. You beat me to the punch on that halberd, damn you!
Mine'll be on a WE forest dragon, though, so they won't look too similar. =]

I think the first one has some pretty rad stuff going on. I like the delicate background and the sword chained to him. I also like the little bit of thigh that both are showing off...nothing like an elf comfortable enough to kill and enslave his enemies without wearing pants.

Thanks for all the advice, everyone. It looks to me like I should do this: Master as above Sorc as above assassin, rune, manbane, ehw spears as above corsairs without banner 2X dr shades with la, ehw C.O.s without banner hydra That will give me 16 points to spare. My question is this: Should I use t...

I just noticed this thread....I have a bad habit of ignoring stickies for vast stretches of time before they register.

My feeling on the shades is that they can harass whatever they can, march block, and lend a few S5 attacks in conjunction with someone else charging, to hopefully put a few more wounds on knights and such like. I actually dont have any harpies, or I would definitely throw some in. I also don't have ...

1500 Pts for Tourny

Ok, so I have a tourney coming up at the end of November, so I wanted to get some ideas on my list, as I've a fair bit left to paint. This way, I will be painting only what I need. So, here we go: Master: HA, SDC, CO, Crimson Death Lvl 2 Sorc: Disp. Scroll 20 Spears with CMD, shields 10 RxB Warriors...

Glad you are liking them, Porkster. Maybe the image is showing up funny on your monitor or something, because they are definitely not pink, and are, in fact, blood red over scab red.
Glad people are looking and commenting!

I see no problem with your models. The world is a big place and personalities vary wildly, so I don't think there's any reason why you can't have a dark elf that dresses fancy or still considers himself a "true" high elf, since, afterall, we really are the rightful inheritors. I really dig...

I think it depends on how much you want the scars to stand out. If you want them to be glaring and obvious, paint them after the dip. If you want them to be subtle and old looking, do them before the dip.
I like your colors, I'm a fan of alternate schemes. =]

Lookin' good dude.
Are your eagles going to be able to rank up at all, and are they the right size bases? Not that I'd care if I were to play you, but some people get fussy about that kind of stuff.

Yeah, I'd love to see some better pictures, but I like what I can make out. You are making me miss the juggernaught chariot that I sold many years ago...I'm getting all nostalgic. It's also just a cool idea, to have your blood crushers be chariots.

I say rock on with the blue if the rest of your army is going to be in blues...he needs to blend in! I like it a lot, only thing I would crit is the skull on his mask..maybe make it a bit more pointy in places, it's a little round and not that threatening. Great job all around, though. I really like...

I've been meaning to comment on this army for a few days. I really like your color scheme and painting style a lot. I particularly like the multiple layers on the shields. I think that claw is totally mean and nasty looking in a way that druchii should be. A lot of the stuff in our new book is lame ...

Ok, here's the finished unit. Used a different camera for the pictures and I think they came out a bit better. I'm still no good at photographing my minis so I still think they look better in person, but, such is life. Hope you like them, or at least find them interesting: http://ripper.everettconsu...

Sarcon:Hmmm...I guess the pictures aren't cutting it then, because the bases are Bleached Bone, just like the final highlight on the armor. I had them dark angels green originally, then tried scorched and graveyard on them before settling on bleached. I agree on your principle, though, because I tho...
