Chrono also posts as Arcturus on this particular forum, as this is the first warhammer forum he joined back in way back... Always wanted to write in 3rd person about myself... I dug out some older pics if anyone's intrested. I retook the pics as the background wasn't quite as good in terms of how th...

Have you tried "airbrush warhammer" on google? Warhammer minis are just like any militairy or other miniature, no difference really.

@c_freman Well, airbrushing is quite extensive but the basics are simple. A good place to start would be m Funnily enough, Youtube is by now one of the best places to get information about many techniques easily explained in video format. There's lots of forums that also discuss airbrushing. Googlin...

Watchtower
I made this one for the GW battleboard contest. Anyway, wanted it to be dynamic so the tree is removable so that units can easily mill about the tower. I painted the model during a saturday, helped a lot by airbrushing. This piece also served as a color test for my the Realm of Battle board I purcha...

Paint it up, wash it properly first, the paint will actually shield it from outside corrosion from being in contact with air. MAybe... Anyway, you can Nitromors it back to mint condition anytime you want, not even a collector will notice the difference. Only scraping off moldlines will make the mode...

I dunno, didn't notice anything special when assembling my models, seemed to fit together nicely. There can always be batches where the molds have been badly connected during the process resulting in a slight drop in quality. The corsairs and CoKs when not suffering from anything specificly weird, s...

I think they look good for first miniatures. You could thin down your paints a bit, some parts look a bit thick. Just get a palette, I use a CD cover at the moment for example, so it doesn't have to be anything special. Just take paint from pot, add to palette, toss some water into the mix, and you ...

I was stuck without internet over the Christmas holidays, so I didn't notice what happened. Anyway, I have the pics uploaded at the great dakkadakka, so they are still available there. Gonna have to figure out some better gallery system if photobucket is getting too small for my bandwidth needs... S...

@Nellamik It's just an A3 size paper background I've printed a NASA spacedust image on. I did a few more too, but this one just works like a colorbalance miracle(must be the browns and greens I reckon). @Darkprincess I never was a fan of the FW keeper either, I think the upper torso is a bit bulky w...

Keeper of Secrets
Painted up for a buddy. Colorscheme idea was to keep it somewhat simple and striking, and to fit the theme of the army hence the dark skin(all characters are onyx). I've never liked the model paleskinned, but I think with the dark skin it actually looks pretty good, which offcourse to me raises ques...

Small update, 4x harpies done. The 5th I changed the base on because it was too high to be stable on anything but a completely flat surface so after it's been rebased it'll join the group. http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h289/kronork/Dark%20Elves/Harpies1.jpg http://i67.photobucket.com/albums/h289...

@Druchiijake Welcome to the forums. Some answers. Primer. I usually use black or grey primer. For these dark elves I've used a grey paint primer for some units, just to try it out, it's nice, but doesn't really make much of a difference, since I give the model a once over with a thin chaosblack anyw...

@Bassman76 The snow is the ever so easy baking soda + pva glue. You can add paint to it too if you want it to look dirty, really pure(add white) etc. You can work in layers if you need abit more buildup, but the sodasnow is really easy to use, I was a bit surprised myself actually. And yes, I intend...
