I kind of question the use of saurus cav and the kroxigor ancient myself. In this case I'd always favour the kroxigors - every time. The chariot busting is great if they're going that way and if not that then knight and spawn busting. I would also consider a small unit of terradons to deal quickly w...

I still think there's no real tactical need for corsairs as is in the list. 4+ vs shooting is increasingly worhtless as more high strength shooting and AP becomes more common. As flankers, warriors are often a better choice as they concede less casualties and the extra attacks of corsairs still don...

Halgaith (mixed weapon) you didnt write what weappons it is... Its right under the entry. Its a mixed spear/halberd - choose one or the other to use during a combat. The idea being that the black guard can be exceptionally effective in a prolongued combat if you so choose. Say, 5 wide frontage in t...

Just click on the club link in my sig and look for CobaltEarthgem in the member's list and either pick off his email or send him a PM looking for magnet advice. Seriously, this guy absolutely loves his magnets and knows a fai...

Something I should point out is that some of this stuff is resurrected from the ToK list that Z and I developed a while back and a couple things are based off of ideas I've shared with others here so there is no way I can claim full credit for all the ideas (not to mention the stuff I have directly ...

So, I've been toying around with a full DE list for a while now as to what I'd like to see when the thing comes out in what is rumoured to be about a year (I'd be a bit longer myself mind you as I think HE and VC have to come out first for WFB and there are 2 40K books and a couple supplemental book...

It really depends on where you are, so you're best to ask the people at your gaming group. Here, there are many IG players and fewer marine players (but still a good number) and the thing we really lack are chaos marines. Solid showing of Eldar (and even Dark Eldar here) and enough Necrons but fewer...

No, you pay the points to only give the crew the extra weapons. The lord replaces a crew member and any points you paid for him are lost and replaced with the slightly better benefit of US 5 for the chariot. So, you'd have to pay for both - though in this case its not normally worth it to equip eith...

Many actually consider Slaanesh to be the best lore in the game. First off, though the first spell is short range, its very high strength and easy to cast - making it effectively equivalent to doombolt. I don't know about you, but if I had an option of having either chillwind or doombolt for the def...

Many times you ask this question the answer of the penultimate gaming convention (possibly in the world) is GenCon. I've never been but apparently its full of all kinds of games and its just huge. Not specifically a wargames convention, mind you, but still.

You look to have a pretty good variety there - means you can play smaller games and switch things up or go for the whole thing - fine way to do things. :)

An annointed with a sword of battle is likely the cheapest way to kill him with a character - though if he's getting killed by a character you're either very unlucky or you've made a mistake. There's a reason he has thousands of minion at his beck and call - to fight the nasty guys for him while tak...

Something that likely should be specified but which is likely assumed is this is based on WFB fluff yes? Not 40K fluff? Because for 40K its pretty obvious since in that universe Khaine is "dead."

I see no reason to update our book. Maybe add a few items, change some existing ones. But that's it. Our troops are good as they are, they don't need any change. Though that is largely true, there are a number of tweaks that can be made as well as consolidation between the various lists and units t...

I don't know what's most difficult out there these days. A lot of the SoC lists can be difficult and frustrating to play against (Eshin, Daemonic Legion, Sea Guard, or Sylvannians). Of the core armies though, I think skaven give me the most trouble as well as certain wood elf armies, but them less s...

I agree with msot of you, that it is more harder to kill a necro than expected, 1: You gotta be aware about the units around you...and beneath you! As soon as you get close enough, he can simply summon up a unit of zombies in your way. For sure. That being said, all the long range VC support units ...

Just don't allow Necron fleets and you will have no problem with cheese. Aside from Necrons, the game is very elegant and balanced. That's a pretty fair assessment I'd say. Its not that Necrons are super broken - they're just broken against most fleets - especially anything eldar. Blackstone fortre...

"Kill the necro´s" is alot easier said than done against a decent VC player. This is quite true. A good VC player is normally a seriously good VC player. Most VC players I find though aren't really so great to the point where I find VC is the easiest army out there for me to defeat. Very ...

Kill the necros - simple as that. Units of dark riders and COK are excellent at charging in and killing the necros. You don't expect to win (unless maybe with COK) but you should expect a wound or two off a necro sitting in a unit. Many times its worth sacrificing a unit of DR for the chance. If the...

For heroes, Gimli and Balin are pretty decent I think (though I'm not a big fan of dwarf heroes at all). The kings are pretty useless I think but if you find you're short on might go with an extra captain or two as though they aren't great, they aren't too bad either. Dwarf bows are worth investing ...
