Re: need help assembling Morathi

@Helle - You got it exactly.

As for spit, it doesn't really work that well. One bottle of Insta-Set will last a long time and is less than $10. Well worth the investment.

Re: need help assembling Morathi

You can make strong joins without pins. I have metal hydras and a metal Morathi, never pinned any of them, and they are quite strong. Here's what you do. Get a small amount of green stuff and roll out 2 thin strings. Put the 2 strings of green stuff in an "X" over the hole where the other ...

Re: How much should I put for these items for

Ok it sounds like auction is the way to go. Thought of a buy know might have been good to get it done quickly. Though it is nearly done now anyway and when I originally posted no one had bid on it, but now there have been 13 bids. That's what happens. Bids usually come in late. I was considering se...

Re: Commission Review#2 -Blue Table Painting - COB & Witch E

Blue Table has a distinct style. They do a certain amount of base coating and highlighting with usual methods, then apply a tinted sealer that shades and provides a finish at the same time -- not really the "dip" method but can have a similar look. I had them do a whole Tomb Kings army a l...

Re: How much should I put for these items for

In all honesty, you're much better off doing an auction than a buy it now price. I've ebayed quite a lot of warhammer stuff over the past 5 years, and have found that the risk if you do buy it now is that you can get well below what you actually could get. +1 Start an auction really low to attract ...

Re: Any reason to field 2 units of warlocks?

@Dalamar Aren't Throwing Axes only 6" range? Would they get a S&S reaction against the Warlocks M9? Whether or not a unit can stand and shoot has nothing to do with the range of the weapon being used. It depends only on the movement value of the charging unit and how far away the unit is w...

Treekin are fine and have plenty of potential.

But Dryads are probably overpriced. They are actually very similar to Corsairs in terms of both damage output and durability and are priced the same.

Heroic killing blow - as above but D6 wounds.

I like this idea.

Would slightly weaken the ability in some respects, strengthen it in others. I don't think it would require any points adjustment.

I got 2 votes -- I'm happy.

Very close, but I think I like Kreol's model a little better than Faeli-n's entry. Love the Griffin, but wish the rider weren't quite so dark.

No. ITP makes a unit auto-pass fear, terror and panic tests. Has no effect on Stupidity. See page 71 of the BRB.

Re: Killing Blow Change

I think the OP is suggesting that armor would only be ignored on a roll of 6 to-wound, not all the time. I think this would be a good change. A unit/model with KB could still gain some advantage against Monsters, Monstrous Cavalry, etc. even if they can't kill them outright. Would help balance some ...

Re: Seeking some Woc advice.

Yes, the chariots are that good. Combine impact hits with the attacks of the halberd-wielding Chaos Warriors riding in them, and the Chariots can do a lot of damage on the charge. And they are hard to hurt, especially Nurgle-marked Gorebeast chariots, so they can often hold up a ranked unit. Great v...

Lore of metal for that tasty +2 to their armour saves through glittering scales. 5+ armour save elves die quick and fast, but 3+ armour save elves live forever... Enchanted Blades from Lore of Metal also helps make up for the lack of rerolls to hit. In general, Metal is a good lore if you are going...

Re: Character Charging out of Unit

The main question is covered in the second paragraph on page 101 -- the unit can move as normal in the movement phase, but cannot declare a charge of its own. Also, the rules are not exactly clear on whether a character leaving the unit affects shooting in the next shooting phase. On page 97 it says...

Re: Large Target Behind Hill

You still haven't answered my qustion. Is it hard or soft cover? Hard, it is a solid piece of terrain. You just extrapolate from what else is hard/soft cover and then apply what is closest as per the cover rules. A hill is a solid piece of terrain and therefore falls under hard cover. This. The lis...

@Semprus -- I already answered your question. The syllogism is simple: Per page 41, terrain can provide cover if it obscures >50% of a unit/model Hills are a type of terrain (I am no longer at home and cannot provide a page cite but they are a specific terrain category in the rulebook). Therefore, H...

Truth.

It's a good spell to have if you are running a Warlock or Dark Rider bus in which the Sorceress can hide in rank 2.

I take a few shortcuts yeah. Thats because fractions are not particularly useful, so I tend to round a little here and there. Btw demis knights have lances, so they are S5 on the charge. And they will have the charge, because of superior movement and swiftstride. True. I forgot the lances. That rou...
