eBay buyers are silly if you ask me, to pay that much for that fig. I use mine often (I had two packs of the wizards box) and I even gave away my second copy of the fig. Its not a horrible fig, but it is a poor plastic cast.

So, as a follow up, I have to confess that I drew twice and lost once with this list. In the end, the reasons for this seemed to be 3-fold. The first is that its far too one-dimensional for what I consider to be a successful Druchii list, but in the end, it might just be my style of play that just s...

I only took a quick look at the army book today, and I must say that it seems that you really need to tool a really tool the daemon list to get the most direct effect out of it - but that can be said about most armies out there. Personally, I don't think its too huge an issue for too many armies out...

Dark riders are useful in any small army. After that, you can look at strategy for what's left as necessary. If you want high movement, go for small units of knights, harpies, and maybe a manticore. For something more hitty, a noble on a chariot is pretty close to essential for me I find. I'd rarely...

Re: Taking up druchii - first 2K list attempt

high sorceress pegasus, lv4, wand, ds cloak, scroll, Personally, I like to put the wand on a supporting caster so as to divide the potential missile fire and therefore return targets. It'll always hurt to lose the lord, but sometimes it can hurt even more. I use a L3 daemon prince as my general in ...

Well, though I admit that a large and quick change usually bugs me, what bugs me a bit more is that I have a khornate army that I'm not sure is worth the bother anymore with a sorcerer added or not. I mean, frenzy in an army can be considered both a good thing and a bad thing at the same time, meani...

It is pretty horrible, there's no doubt there and there are some truly and utterly stupid things that were done (the lord's mundane choices as mentioned about and the fact that a Khorne army now needs to hire a scroll caddy to be effective).

Normally when playing in an MSU style, you have cheaper units (everything under 150 pts per unit excepting characters). Your units are small and highly elite which makes for vulnerable play. If you're playing more novices, they'll likely be scared of the rhinox and waste a lot of effort on it. If yo...

Yeah, I'm only just starting out with these guys but agonisers are just about the ultimate weapon in 40k. Depending on what you want your archon to do, a punisher/tormentor helm combo can also be useful. Its almost always better when going after infantry, and you can combine it with other gear (com...

I agree fully with danceman. The general idea is rather good (all raider army) but there are bits that could be changed. The Dark eldar army I'm currently using is almost all raiders and it looks like this: Archon (combat drugs, shadow field, agonizer, pistol, trophy rack) with 4 incubi and 2 warrio...

Are my vamps really so vulnerable? Any fast moving elements barring a greater daemon or Dragon i think i can deal with the Vargulfs and maybe rolling up a unit of zombies to counter it. With T4 and no armour, yes, they are very vulnerable. Its well worth the effort of a bunch of vanilla knights sui...

Well, its for their own good to reduce the prices to levels that are on par with the US ones. Why do you feel you need two corpse carts? You only have 4 units that can benefit from them anyways and 3 of them for sure should likely be pretty close together as is. You really only need one with the number of power dice you have if you want the miasma to go off and affect all your units - same f...

Its really is about the penetration of the enemy lines and getting around a flank that you take the guy. You'd be surprised exactly how mobile a pegasus is compared to a dark steed. The extra attacks are nice too. Think about it purely in terms of table control. The extra range can be critical at ti...

For a highborn, no, because its too high a risk - same for a high sorc. If you're going to make that kind of investment you might as well go for a manticore which is much more multi-dimensional. For a hero level character, on the other hand, it can be much more useful. As a platform for missiles (wh...

Lifetaker vs a regular RXB makes a huge difference in many cases including hunting skirmishers (say chameleon skinks) or lone mages where you really want that kill in only a couple shots. Cairn wraiths also come to mind these days.

If you mean the old Melkhior model, I have a painted one. I also have a painted lord with face mask.

How many zombies can I get for that?
