What's all this madness now? I'm relatively new to D-net. What's the campaign all about? Are we playing a series of games online or something? That sounds fun.

Remember that if you develop you can't play.(Universal rule).
Rork will get back to me on a subforum here, if not i we can use the site which king coombs created for the campaign.

i know I'm a noob, but don't all leap to help at once.... :?

I am in as a player.... tentatively. But as said, I've never been in an online campaign before so... I would need to know what's up.

Ok then il explain.

The developers (those who are signing up now) create rules, fluff etc for the campaign.
Things like 'a battle a day' or special projects such as, if the enemy are going to capture an area then you might adopt the 'burnt earth' tactic.

The players report battles, choose where to attack and put into effect special projects. They follow the rules made by the developers. They can also write fluff for their army and send it in to make the campaign feel more 'whole'.

I suggest you start getting together what you want before you go too far. Just signing people up before you've determined what and who you need is asking for trouble.

A bunch of people have been added, but I suggest that you take a more rigorous approach in future.

So all the battles will be played out in person... and using the fluff and rules made up by the people running that campaign? That sounds cool... but it means I can't get involved... as I know very few people around since I've moved... who play. That blows. I'd still like to participate somehow, if someone can think of a way!

Please give us a good description of how this will be run, how people will be able to participate and all. And then we can talk. So far all I see are a bunch of enthusiastic people going " we want a campaign"

Looks nice, but I agree with Linda here. I will sign up, but if you say that i will need to play once per day, that wont be possible ;)

This is signing up for development, signing up for the campaign can be done once we have finished it.

We are beginning work in the invisible '2008 campaign dev' forum.

All who wish to join now must PM me thier merits.

Lorenz charges people to use it now... and I have no idea how much a euro is in American dollars. I could probably look it up... but until I know what's up with this campaign... I'm not about to lay down money on it. No offense guys.

I doubt players are actually going to have to pay money to play or anything else. What I want to know is what the story line is going to be. I need to start early so we can get our massive amounts of stories ready. Though you're busy with making the website at the moment, so I wont bother you.

Google has a conversion engine: 1 EUR to USD. At time of writing, €1 = $1.45 . Not that this has any relevance; just felt I'd point out Google does this kind of stuff. :)
