Yeah the game started out exciting with me doing a bit of a misstep with my wild riders. He declares a chariot charge but fails it. He then underestimates the power of high magic counters combined with a glass cannon tooled glade lord. His 7 knights with BSB, lvl 2 and his hellfire sword lord in moves within short charge range of my bus, and he makes a small misstep with his warhounds just barely not blocking my wild riders. So WR in the flank, potion of strength bus in the front. Glade lord has 8 S10 attacks, and I get through a WS hand of glory and curse of anraheir... It wasnt pretty. Lord murders 4 knights, WR's murder his lvl 2, and due to the high magic counters, WS boost and -1 to hit from him he manages 0 wounds on me and breaks. With so much of the charge pressure gone he concedes, so I claim the game 20-0.

Actually I've made the biggest mistake in the movement phase. I didn't underestimate the bus, I was talking with Swordie that I have to take it on in the 3 turn, but with the kids running around I wasn't paying enough attention to what I was doing, and that cost me the game.

That was quite a successful magic phase, though, getting curse and hand of glory through. How did that happen? Failed dispel?

Seems that I will have to give Thraundil a solid pounding in the next round if I want to win this tournament. An advantage of six points is quite a lot.

I rolled 6+5 for winds of magic and channeled, he channeled also for 12 vs 7. The casts where 3 dice HoG (let through), 3 dice enchated blades (high roll, he dispelled with 5 dice, smart since my lord would hit on 2+ with this), 4 dice curse of anraheir (let through) and 2 dice walk between worlds just for the high counter which he then failed to dispel with his two remaining dice. But yeah the unit was WS7 and with curse all his knights and BSB to hit on 5's, and his lord on 4's. It was pretty huge and for sure added to the combat res.

Its on in the next round! I have a feeling whoever wins our game (by a big enough margin) will end up champion

The worst,thing is my head was not in the gamę. But with this paring on a terrible map with a bad scenario I don't belive I could get a draw.

I would not be so pessimistic, Killer. Even in the situation where match up may not favor you and scenario would make it more difficult there is always something to do. I say it was simply not your day. Move on and schedule some re-match. You are both cool opponents who are able to put up a great fight. Use this game as a start of a sport rivalry that would benefit you both!

I definitely enjoyed chatting with you guys and I am glad I had a chance to watch a game live! Looking forward to other opportunities!

well with an open map and blood and glory it was enough I lost 2 units of fast cav and its game over, with so much shooting from the WE and no option to hide my cav there was no way I could pull of a win. Thraundil is a good player his deployment was good, so unless he made a series of huge mistakes I was doomed . As I said my head was not in the game and I decided to forfeit as not to waist our time, I'm confident Thraundil out played me, next shooting phase he had 5 units of GR to take out 10 marauders, and it would be game over. Again congrats on the win, hope our next game will be more interesting.

I must admit I went dirty on the list too though. WoC have an issue with stuff thats fast. With only 4 drops I took the initiative, I was expecting a win but not so soon. The glade lord passed his test with flying colors though

Just out of curiosity, did you play blood and glory by the book, i.e. you stop the game as soon as one army is broken?

C'mon Killer! I am sure it was planned to lure the enemy into a trap. You used some fools from WoC to test the foe and when you assemble your proper Druchii force you will smash these cowardly tree huggers.
