'The Trial of Blades' says the SoS are +1 to hit and wound if an enemy model with a higher WS or S stat is in base contact with them. If a unit is equal to them in both WS and S but a character in that enemy unit has higher stats in the aforementioned areas would this grant them the +1?

Yes

I think the character has to be in base contact with the unit in order for the Sisters to benefit from Trial of Blades, meaning that if the character is not in base contact with a SoS model, the unit does not gain +1 To Hit & To Wound.

Also I wanted to ask how many attacks the back ranks get? Is it just 1 or do they get the full stat profile amount?

If I was to add a Death Hag with witchbrew into the unit would the back ranks attack with the frenzy bonus attack too?

Supporting attacks are only 1 attack, even if the unit has frenzy.
