The State of Druchii.net Address

Post by Kitrik »

Welcome back to Druchii.net my loyal subjects!

Let me say that the road to restoring Druchii.net was ridiculously bumpy and I apologize for the long wait. The timing of the crash and my absence from the state where the server was located kept me from getting at the hard drive and thus the information for the whole summer. Once back, I was swamped, absolutely swamped, with training for my position as a Resident Assistant for 27 freshmen boys at my school! It is back now, on a new host, and I'm praying that everything works out for the better here!

What is NOT working yet:
RPG - this part of the site will be down for some time while I revamp it. I apologize to the hardcore RPGers out there, but I am focusing all of my energy in getting the main forums back up to speed!
Chat - not sure what's going to happen with this yet.
Album - I need to fix a few things with the album before it will start accepting uploads again. It is also due for a massive upgrade...
Avatars - I'll fix that soon...

What IS working:
The forums!!! What else do we need?

What am I working on?
A lot. I'm still waiting for the phpBB upgrade to be released so this entire site can get a big facelift.

Ask questions here - I will try and answer them as soon as possible!

Thanks guys for the continuing loyalty to this site! You Rock!!!

No. You Rock!!!

Thanks a lot for all the hard work you put it to getting this back up, top job.

As for the updates planned, they sounds pretty sweet, I look forward to it all.

Many thanks for bringing us all back together again

I won't ask anything more than you did already for a while, for you've done a great job :)

What I would like to add though; RPGs are welcome in the History of the Druchii forum if anyone feels the need to keep in shape ;)

Also, I don't know what's wrong with the chat, it seems to be working for me.

Damn, that is what I was going to say.

Here is a question, what is the state of the initiatives, I am not part of one but it is a question that you can answer without taking a massive ammount of time (I'm nice like that)

One more question, after the numerous PMs I sent you, are you going to fix the links on the main page? (I'll be updating mine now that Druchii.net is back up)

I think I can answer the Initiatives question.

After this severe blow, slowly but steady members keep dripping in. The 7th Convent is almost back to start again, if not entirely. As far as editors will be needed, I think I'm safe there too. However, all the other initiatives seem quite empty - only one member reporting in TMLAS, and nowhere else. So if you're part of the monthly crew, please post in your forum to let us know you're there!

Thank you thank you!
Mal: Sure. It would be humiliating. Having to lie there while the better man refuses to spill your blood. Mercy is the mark of a great man. (lightly stabs Atherton with the sword) Guess I'm just a good man. (stabs him again) Well, I'm all right.

I wonder if that statement has a double meaning... I was kinda hard on him trying to get info during the downage... :)
Anyhow, the initiative states will be changed hopefully. I've been discussing with Z'Gahn and Imdat Tauble about some refreshing ideas. Things might be different but more efficient and attractive later on.

Oh yes, one of my forums needed a graphical overhaul, I never did it UNTIL I screwed up with some uploading and was forced to.....

Thanks for getting the site back up, now i have something to do again when I can't be bothered to paint my models, which is most of the time. I suppose it did mean i actually painted some of them, rather than just look at them for hours on end while on D.net
Finally; someone's put the 7th Edition Dark Elf book up for download: Here!
Grab it while you can!

Great work and thanks for getting the site back up! I was always lamenting that I no longer had a kewl site to surf to instead of planning lessons for my classes! I've been pulled away from my Druchii with attention on a more distantl future.. but will now come back and finish off my two other chariots and a hydra!

Cheers to all the people who've made this great site possible!

hip hip, HOORAY...

i was starting to get withdrawal symptoms from this place... oh how i missed it...

just one question, when i tried to log back in when the site was fized, my account didnt exist anymore, but i couldnt make it again because it said someone already used that name and email address.
i know if i dont log on for a certain amount of time it gets swiped, but most people (if not everyone) got their old account back. maybe D.net doesnt like me anymore (cries).
