Hello all,

As you have no doubt noticed Druchii.net has been experiencing increasing sever delays in the time it takes for things to load.

Whilst I am not, unfortunately, posting to say the problem is fixed I am posting to say that we (well the Webmasters) are doing all they can to find out what is causing this problem and are trying to get it fixed ASAP. For the moment we (again the Webmasters, but "we" sounds better doesn't it ) are not aware exactly what the problem is, and are having some problems with the people that host the site.

So I basically want to apologize for these delays and to reassure the loyal Druchii.net members that we (you know who I mean ) are doing everything they can to rectify this problem as soon as is humanly possible. Please don't fret, or get scared, things will be alright in the end, but for the immediate future it is likely this slowness will continue.

Just in case you did not have the same problem as I did, I got error message about problems connecting to database, reportedly because of too many simultanous connections. Possibly DoS attack?

loflar: yes that is what many of us have and yes that is one assumption that we are working under. It wouldnt be the first time sadly.

Its sooo slow.

This page took almost 5 minutes to load. Hope it gets fixed soon.

Yeah, its working pretty well for me now, but last night it was taking me 5mins to get to a page report SQL problems...

Hope you(well the webmasters) can get it fixed soon

Here is what the host tech said:

Hello,

The mysql server your database is hosted on has been experiencing high
loads recently. This is causing all services to lag. The loads are being
created by poorly written queries that users are running that hog CPU
time. We are actively working with these users to reduce their CPU
consumption and everything will be back to normal soon. I am very sorry
for any inconvenience this may have caused.

If you'd like to move your database to a new machine, simply back it up,
remove it from the panel, re-add it, and restore it again. This will
place it on a new machine.

If you have any other questions or concerns, be sure to let us know!
