To all our members and guest readers,
There has in recent times been a radical surge of spam bots targeting online forums, one of them being our beloved Druchii.net. Certainly there are places that are mauled much more extensively than us, but it's a matter of principle; dishonourable warfare like this is looked down upon by all Druchii. For a while we entertained the notion of our bastard kin at Asur.org being behind this, but it was agreed upon that they lack the ingenuity to do so.
We are well aware of the nuisance such spam can bring. Especially if your completely on-the-level topic is hit with a spam reply, though lone topics are already bad enough. If you see such a post, do not reply to it! Simply report it, typing 'Porn spam' in the small form. Writing replies to it means the moderators will need to delete that reply too, which equates to extra time devoted to keeping the place clean, which could otherwise be used to find a solution.
We're working on it, people - be as helpful as you can in the meantime, and report such posts as fast as you can.

Spam bots are in many cases related to sites which contains malicious keylogger software. I would strongly advice against clicking links posted by bots. If you have clicked such a link by accident, please be cautious of entering your credit card number on any site before checking your computer for such malicious software. Sometimes an antivirus program is not equipped to handle such keyloggers and installing an additional antispyware program could be benefitial. Programs such as Spybot Search & Destroy are free and has many times removed spyware that my Norton Antivirus couldn't find from my computer.

Quoted for emphasis. You never know what kind of crazy site a bot will try and send you to, and you never know what kind of little beasties will try and attack you when you get there. Play it safe and don't click on those links.
