Very true and most of the time he cant bait anything. In my time at GT's and RTT baiting sounds very easy and rarely works out as planned. Sure its used to get flank charges and to bait them forward but I have seen, maybe once or twice, a unit actually getting pushed that far away from the battleline.

@Rork:
I have a friend that plays Khorne and he doesn't have an all frienzied army because it's not useful. He gives the mark of Khorne on his hammer units and he uses Beast Herds as screen to control them.
But we aren't Chaos we're supposed to be an army with a stricked discipline mentality, not a free for all army. So Frenzy wouldn't fit since we only hate High Elves.

Certainly. My own army is a 50/50 mix of undivided and Khorne. I'm just pointing out that an all-frenzied army is not necessarily 'unplayable'. It makes life more difficult, but it really can teach you a lot about warhammer.

Frenzy might fit (and I only say might). Against High Elves in 4th/5th ed, Dark Elf units had to take obedience tests which meant that DE units could all of a sudden 'lose control' and go screaming towards their hated enemy (despite their discipline).

They did at that Rork, but hatred also gave them an unmodifyable LD 10 in combat against the HE. I would make that trade off again any day. Stubborn 10, such DE goodness back in the day.

WEll, we can always hope that they bring even more from the old book back. Unfortunately, I guess it will "only" be plain hatred. I seriously don't think that we are talking army-wide frenzy, so this discussion hopefully is unnecessary.

Two "Ok's" in one sentence, I can only bow before such mastery of the English language.
Back to the rumours. Executioners auto-wounding and being in groups of minimum 5+. What do we think of this? Are small units of 5-6 better now or still 10-12? I think I would still lean towards the latter. With the increase in special choices and still only 6 per 2000 points, I dont see how having smaller units is beneficial.
The possibility of having core Black Guard if Kouran is taken is very nice. A big anvil unit for counter attack tactics sounds tempting. Again, what do we think of this? There has not been much discussion on these two points.

People say I'm cocky, I say it's because they know I'm the best.

It is nearly confirmed that we will not have a changed force organization chart so Executioners are still going to need to be around 12 to get anywhere near combat without wasting your special choice. Lord Jimmy, I would suggest not insulting a member of the moderator team, even more so when she is merely trying to keep the topic on topic.

Lord_Jimmy_: That is strike one. One more snide comment and you will face a warning.

Woah, no need for everyone to get serious. It was just a joke Linda. No harm or insult intended. However I will take my warning with humility and I apologise.
Back on topic. I agree Azure, the 12 does seem necessary to get something out of them. They aren't Swordmasters...

I think that this thread has run its' course now. There has been nothing of any real substance posted for a while now.
As Scorpioni has pointed out, there are no real new rumours and so it's just going round and round in circles. I suspect this is due to a combination of frustration that the release of the new book is so close, and boredom because no one really knows what is coming.
Therefore I am locking this thread before the frustration and boredom turn to anything else.
Anyone who has an issue with this can pm me.
Anyone who has anything new to say can simply start a new thread, but please don't rehash old ground.
Lets move on people
