Wha...Is Universal Hatred being one of the rumours from this 'Harry' chap? I hope not...

I think we all made our feelings known a few months ago. By now the book has been written and i doubt that anything we have to say will change things. I for one am going to put all that behind me and enjoy the new DE whatever form they take.

I hope Druchii won't be getting ASF... we're not dark copies of the Asur

100% agree with this statement, I just wanna play with my beloved Druchii again!!!

I wish GW would just slow down and maybe give people time before a new edition comes out. You know wood elves and dwares came out then bam new edition of fantasy. I got nothing against it mind you but everytime a new codex/ armybook comes out when people lose with it it's like ohh i got the new army book strategy changed blah blah blah learning curve and then when people are beaten by the new book blah blah blah unfair you havea new book mine is old blah blah blah.

First of all if a spearhead comes out for the DE they really just give you what models are new in the line. such as the vamp spearhead you get a special character a new vamp 4 boxes of the new infantry, dire wolves, corpse cart, and a varghulf.

So if a spearhead comes out for our DE we will get whatever is new in the range probly the plastic character kits and i do not know what else because I have no idea whats getting updated model wise. We may get screwed like the HE and not really get new plastics on our squads.

anyone think the special rule could be hatred without the downsides? but as it is closest to hatred that is what everyone is calling it?

I'd be fine with hatred against all races and option to not pursue though I can't see this happening.

Just like how High Elves have gotten ASF with its downsides.

Oh wait.

Unless of course you count their armorless, high cost infantry as a downside

After all, my sources assure me that all elves will have ASF as a blanket rule which is the reverse of the hatred rule everybody else thinks will be coming, and that we are getting a new plastic CoK box and not a hero kit

6 months time all will be revealed, and we will be happy with a new army book and whatever new models come out.

Wasn't there some rumour witch elf heroines would be back? if so wouldn't they require a new model?

We must surely get some new character models, just a noble i'm not fussy i just want a goddamn noble.

I would personally prefer a metal one not common plastic we are above such lowly materials

A similar amazing Plastic Kit for Druchii Noble/Highborn would be a welcome addition.

I hate to ruin everybodys dreams but don't expect any miracles from the new armybook.
Sadly i'm very pesimistic from GW.
My feeling says we will most likely get the treatment Orcs,Dwarves and empire got.A little tweak there , a little twist here but not too much.

I made a bet with my mates here.
Should the new DE be as good as the new HE .... i'll be theyr slave for the next 10 years. !wink!

Not sure what you mean about being HE slaves for next 10 years, ASF might be powerful rule but I still beat high elves.

I'm pessimistic as well, that way it can only turn out to be positive
I just wished that there are some more rumours. Not sure what GW did with their security but in the old days you had stuff leaking at least 10 months before release.

Hmm. Well, if you look at the last four books as a trend, I have no concievable idea how anyone could just assume that Druchii are going to get the shaft this time around.

If anything, the worst nightmares of some of us are indeed being realized. Not mine, mind you; I'm praying that it becomes otherwise, but we'll see. But it appears that GW is slowly and steadily bumping up the power of each army. Not compared to its original incarnation, but compared to the last book that came out. Each list is markedly better than the one before it. The difference of quality between Empire and O&G is staggering, I believe, as was Empire to HE, and now HE to VC (which I now believe to be the best WHFB AB to have ever been written).

I'll even make a new bet with you. I'll bet the DE book is absolutely fantastic. I'll bet that a DE player makes it to the top five of the next UKGT. Of course, the book has to have been out by the time of the heats, so it may be 2009 before it takes effect. If this is so, you owe me nothing. If not, I'll leave this board forever after posting a thread on how absolutely worthless I and the book just happen to be.

Today I emailed my favourite online store thats based up the road from GW HQ, and according to the guy at the store he said that his spies (his words not mine) reckon September for DE. The guy there has always been really helpful before and has zero reason to bs, so I'd say it was pretty solid now thankfully.

Before we get excited about the hydra lets look at trish's previous work: WE treekin, VC new direwolves. Hmm.. fingers crossed me thinks

As for the new book and the power creep, I see us getting strong but not OTT. Empire is still imo a better possible cheesed out list then HE. I think everyone hears ASF and shudders when ESPECIALLY against humans and other lower initiative armies, it rarely matters. Sure it helps their elites but if you are a dumb enough empire player to throw something worth points at those white lions well... your dumb. Feed em a unit of swordsmen and sit back and laugh

If the Book should be fantastic i would be so happy that i'll print my post , eat it and then post a 1000 apologies to GW for lack of faith.

Given the amount of rumours this guy have churned out in the past, I`d say that his "sucess rate" is pretty impressive. To make a few very recent examples, he was the first to tell us about the wargulf and the blood knights. He is so well informed that even the guys at my local GW-shop use him to know what`s coming, as he usually knows it a month or two before them.

This is what I'd like to see changed to Cold One Knights.

-Speed 8
-Strength 4
-No Stupidity

Maybe raise them to 39pts (you guys think that's fair? too much? too little?) or something around that range.
