I was talking to my local GW manager and he said that dark elves are going to be released alot earlier then people expect.

Games workshop releases on a fantasy then 40k system. With the ocasional lord of the rings release here and there. As most of you already know demons are coming out for 40k and fantasy. It, my friends, is classified as a 40k release.

Now, if you didn't know, we are the next fantasy release on the table. So, We have been pushed forward to somewhere in late June or mid July.

I do believe this is good news.

(Disclaimer: I don't know if this applies outside of Australia, But it should)

I'm not entirely convinced. Partly because if that were the case, the GW promo machine would already be pimping models and we'd have seen a lot more about the army book by now. Not even warseer knows that much about the upcoming Dark Elves.

Conversely, my local GW here in the UK knows nothing about DE being released this year. I'm inclined to not believe both my GW and yours, to be fair.

My local GW manager told me that everything is on the right track and the DE will make it on august. They still need to finish sculping the models and design a cover for the armybook and correct a few mistakes in the rules. He aslo said that we will get something that no one was expecting

, i wonder what that would be?

Don't believe in an earlier release date for reason already said by Rork. Would be nice to get some official info...but there's nothing but rumours and wishful thinking...

I would not assume any rumor on our release date for sure. I found going around another "release table" from a "Gw employer" that figured now mortal chaos and our book on November... We must wait.

Umm no, the models are already painted in quite a few cases. And they look very good by all accounts.

I agree with Azure we need to relax and wait for more comfirmation on the releases at the present all we have are rumours (Not to dispell Underway's information). We just need to roll with the punches till bout june/july when more information will solid

I think the good news in this thread for me is underway's promise that they look good... as long as they look good, i dont mind if they come out later...

Actually, I prefer GW to take his time to make sure that the book is well done and balanced against most armies. I do not want a "patched" army book, I want a new army book that's fun to play with and against.
