Hatred, will it replace the noble on a coldone??

Post by Sloth2983 »

After skimming through many of the rumors that are out about the new Dark elf book (I have a lot of time) the thing that has stood out was the idea that all darkelves will have hatred toward all races. This to me seems like a plus and a minus. the plus is the ability to reroll to hit rolls and imune to pycology on the first round of combat. the minus is that you have no choice in persuing the enemy if they break.

the question i have been thinking to myself is, will it still be worth the points to have a noble on a coldone in an infantry block. In the past it has worked out for me to have the noble on a coldone since it seems that more and more things cause fear and it is always handy to cause fear yourself.

Hatred makes you immune to pycology so on the first round of combat you do not have to worry about fear checks or auto breaking because the opponite causes fear. But what about the second round and any rounds after?

So tell me what you think about this, I would like to hear.
God put me on this earth to do one thing, to kill you all, or maybe not, only time can tell.

ummm hatred doesn't make you ItP, so you would still have to take a fear check and have chances for the auto break

Yeah huh sorry but Frenzy makes you Immune to Psychology, Hatred does not.

And if Frenzy loses combat while they are frenzied, they lose their Immune to Psychology AND autobreak if outnumbered by fear, right away, on the same turn.

Bad Beast is correct, hatred has no effect on other psychology rules.

if you use the corrections in the dark elf errata on the UKGW site then CoKs have same leadership as noble so dont need a babysitter

Deroth he means to use the noble to be put into an infantry block to make it immune to fear as many armies are able to cause fear and auto-break our expensive infantry blocks (apart from spearmen they just usually die against a fear-causing unit/character).

If there are changes to the rules, they'll klist the exceptions.

For excample: SoC Cold One Knights suffer stupidity with or without mark of Slannesh (immune to psyc.)

Curent Witchelves still hate highelves frenzied or not.
