I have recently returned to WFB after a ... 15 YEAR ... break.
I have signed up to a 1500 pt campaign featuring diverse armies including WE, Empire, Brettons, VC, DoC, WoC, TKs, BoC, Gobbos...
I am building a combat heavy anti magic (with the Ring of Hotek and a smattering of Null Talismans in key places, but no Seal of Ghrond).
My question is:
With 150pts am I better having a Lvl 1 scroll caddy (2x Dispel scrolls) or
A Lvl 1 with the Staff of Sorcery and place an additional Null Talisman somewhere?
My feeling is that against VC and TKs the +1 to dispel with 3DD might help with raising spells. I would love to hear your thoughts.
Where would you spend 150pts in an anti magic 1500pt army?

I'd take the scroll caddy. Same amount of dispel dice, but 2 scrolls can be very useful in ridding yourself of any spell that isn't affected by Magic Resistance and isn't in range of Ring of Hotek (of which there are a few out there). It could also help when you run out of dispel dice or when you face a spell that would be extremely hard or impossible to stop with 3 dispel dice.
Thanks guys
I guess what I was thinking was that with the ring I wanted to put my opponent in a Catch22, if he uses 3 or more dice he is at least 4/9 chance of a miscast, and if he uses 2 or less then the Staff giving me +1 to dispel makes my puny 3DD more valuable.
However I will bow to consensus.
@izirath: just to clarify I was comparing 2 dispel scrolls to Staff of Sorcery not Seal of Ghrond, but I guess I should have put that as a third option.
@Tony 92: in both options I am taking a Lvl1, I am not sure I follow your second point.

In 1500pt games you really shouldn't have to worry about magic as the most your opponent can have is a couple of level 2's.
The ring + seal of ghrond is good enough for magic defence. You shouldn't need a sorceress at all.
