AES + gem = 40 pts
the fflaming attacks are frequent and effectively solved by the gem. From this point AES +gem is better.
Killing blow is not so ubiquitous, but the AES+gem variant remains vulnerable to it.

Am trying it, however, you'll need a cold one mount to bring the AS to 1+. I normally take Dragonhelm on my character which will give both 1+ AS on any mount when fully kitted with mundane gear AND 2+ ward against fire. Seed of Renewal works wonders at times even though it doesn't look like much lol. Or the simple PoK for a total of 45pts
