Sorceress build with a points limit please help

I have a 305 point spare to build alvl 3 Supreme Sorceress on D/Peg I was thinking of cloak of twilight and sword of battle ? But this is no protection for a miscast, so the next option would be talisman of preservation and maybe a dispel scroll or magical weapon?

What are your thoughts?

I don't have my book on me but pretty sure the lvl3 with scroll, 4++ talis on peg is 305 and I would go with that. what lore do you want for her though, cause depending on that it might be worth while having her on foot or pony instead and make her a lvl4

I was thinking life I would like to keep her out of the way may be flying behind the army boosting tough and re grown dead infantry, I'm worried that I have lost my sorc to a miscast on a couple of occasions and when I tried to use offensive spells I just couldn't pull them off. So I was staying away from the cloak.

Could we see the entire list. Life mages to me work best in bunkers. I like 4th level life with tailsman of preservation and sac dag.=290
You can put her in a spear bunker behind your other units. Gives wide range for spells and leadership if she is the general.

Cloak of twilight and +1MR will give you a 2+ ward against magic.
If you are chosing life magic you get off throne of vines and that mitigatges miscasts on a 2+.

If you are wandering around at the back of your army on a pegasus, you better hope the enemy don't have cannons or beast masters in scourge runner chariots otherwise you could get shot out of the sky T1 if you fail your ward save.

The three heroes are all in with the executioners
I have tried this list already but the sorceress was in the dark shards and she got wipe out twice from shooting and once she wipe the entire dark shards with a miscast.

The only character i would remove is the master, he is giving the unit a MR (4) with the cauldron and the lichbone pennant and the Obsidian Amulet, i took another unit of shades out for him, and i do like the look of the warlocks, but i would like to keep the sor on peg as i have done a conversion i want to keep. Cheers for the feed back so far.

Have to agree with Ichiyo, to heavy on chars. Also MR doesnt stack, you use the highest in the unit so that would be the Obsidian Amulets MR(2)

ah i thought MR did stack it was ward saves that didnt ... yeah i think i will take him out. I would like to keep the others and i'll work on what i have with the other points then
