2000pt list.

This is the list I'm currently painting up at the moment, slowly at least. What are your huys opinions? I'm tempted to drop the unit of dark riders without the x-bows and get an extra unit of shades or a small unit of harpies. Good or bad Idea?

Dread Lord- Cold one, crimson death, armour of darkness, pendant of Khaleth.

Master- Battle standard, dread banner, heavy armour. (will go with BG)

Master- Great weapon, blood armour, Ring of Hotek. (also with BG)

sorceress- extra lvl, dispellx2, dark steed.



20 Corsairs, full cmd.

5 dark riders.

16 Black Guard, full cmd and Null shard.

9 cold one knights, full cmd

5 shades with extra hand weapons.

you could ditch the extra lvl from your sorc and the steed, that will almost get 5 Harpies. Since imo a single lvl2 won't be able to cast a lot, even with PoD.

Nice list.

I would change the equipment of your characters a little.
The bsb's magic banner is OK, but if you give him the pearl of infinite blackness, the whole unit will be imune to psychology and you can still spend 25 points on a magic weapon or magic armour.

If you give the Ring of hotek to the unit champ, the master can take 2 nulls and still wear his blood armour.

I'd consider Lamekh's advice too.
You can hide your sorceress in a unit and the extra harpies will come in handy.
Or you could drop the extra level of the sorc to give the BG the banner of Hag Graef. ASF will be more usefull then the extra level on the sorceress.

Your black guards will not need the last master. You could give the RoH to the CO champion and buy a assassin/shades/furies/RXBwarriors for the points of the last master.

With the CoKs unit you are paying many points for the +1 rank. Better to have them 6 + Lord, and find some extra points for a hydra, or another unit of 5 CoKs.

Interesting list by the way. And I have never seen the Dread banner on Black Guards, should be great against horde armies with low leadership.

The Black Guard are already immune to psychology, so they don't need to be afraid .

Personally, if you are going for a magic banner on your BSB, give him the standard of hag graef. He just isn't well enough protected as he is. With only heavy armor, I would suicide some fast cav into him without worrying if they survived.
