After posting my 1st draft list I have taken the comments and forged a more 'themed' corsair list that followed peoples views of where I should take the army.

Main Changes are the removal of the Spearelves, Black Guard and turning 2 mages in 1 scroll caddy.

Addition of more shooting lots more shooting and larger corsair blocks.

How do you like it?

Corsair Themeā€™d 2250pts

Dreadlord @ 225pts
Equipped with Crimson Death, Armour of Darkness, Pendant of Khaeleth

Sorceress @150pts
Level 1 with 2 Dispel Scrolls

Corsairs @ 250pts
20 corsairs with Full Command and Sea Serpent Standard

Corsairs @ 250pts
20 corsairs with Full Command and Banner of Murder

Corsairs @ 118pts
10 corsairs with Repeater Hand Bows, Reaver with Dual Pistols

Corsair @ 118pts
10 corsairs with Repeater Hand Bows, Reaver with Dual Pistols

Repeater Crossbowmen @ 110pts
10 warriors with Crossbows and Shields

Repeater Crossbowmen @110pts
10 warriors with Crossbows and Shields

Dark Riders @ 133pts
6 riders with Crossbows and Musician

Dark Riders @ 133pts
6 riders with Crossbows and Musician

Harpies @ 55pts
5 Harpies

Harpies @ 55pts
5 Harpies

Shades @ 126pts
6 Shades with Great Weapons, Bloodshade

Shades @ 126pts
6 shades with Great Weapons, Bloodshade

Reaper Bolt Throwers @ 200pts
2 Reaper Bolt Throwers

Reaper Bolt Throwers @ 200pts
2 Reaper Bolt Throwers

Models = 124
PD = 3 DD = 3

For 2000pt I would remove 2 bolt throwers, a dark rider from each unit and a musician from a unit somewhere.

All comments appreciated but no flaming!

Cheers Zardock.

Well I gotta say this is the first corsair themed list I actually like. Just one or two changes I would do would be change both Rxb units into a CoK unit with at least a Dread Knight and the Ring of Hotek for increased magic defense and mount your Dreadlord on a cold one and whack him in the CoK unit for extra hitting power.

Apart from that looks good to me with an impressive 10 core choices! Tell us your results with this list when you can.

Nice list, both impressively close to corsair fluff and probably very effective as well.

Two agressive big blocks.
Two infantry escorts.
A lot of agility with 6 units of DR/harpies/shades.
Very strong shooting phase.
Some can-openers with the shades and Crimson Death.

The only difficulty I foresee will be the magic phase.
1 scroll caddy and no RoH.
But the missile phase is so strong that it should not be a problem.
You may have difficulty with fear-causing opponents, except with your frenzy corsairs.

You could give it a try in battle.

Where are the characters staying?
I imagine the sorc staying inside a rhb corsair for missile safety? Or with RBT? or deep inside a wood?

Hmm AE that ain't a bad idea actually, CoK units would add some punch and I do need so badly a place for my Dreadlord to hang out, when I built the list I envisioned all the tactics except he was absent so there is no unit for him to be placed....

Calisson this list was because of you, Brother of the Coast, your tips on my previous thread helped me aim where I wanted to go with this and your love of corsairs helped me to see the usefulness of RHB corsairs as flank guards to scare away that ever present march blocking farce.

I may be adding the RoH but I just keep forgetting about the bloody thing, haven't played much since 6th and I am set in my ways, I know its there but.... anyway I'll wait to see how this fares.

The 1 caddy will of course be finding the nearest hole/rxb/rhb unit to hide in use her 2 scrolls and once the enemy mages are dead, cast her one spell and perhaps influence the game somewhat?

Glad you two both liked my list =D I'll keep this updated on progress in games etc.
