Tips for 1000pts against VC

Hi guys,

I will be playing a 1000pts game against Vampire Counts in a few weeks - any tips?

I plan to use:

Sorceress Lv2 w/ lifetaker
XB unit x10 w/ shields
XB unit x10 w/ shields
Dark Riders x5 w/ XB and mus
Dark Riders x5 w/ XB and mus
Cold Ones x5 w/ Chmp, Mus and Std
Repeater Bolt thrower
Repeater Bolt thrower

Is this going to be competitive? Mainly trying to use what I have but I could be convinced to get a unit or two.

It should be effective... you have 65-75 shots a turn there. That is considered a lot in 2000 point games! Make sure you shuffle back each turn so that he has to spend one turn more coming to you. Focus your fire to make sure that you fully eliminate units with shooting so that they cannot be raised back.
