I made a list for some casual play in my local meta.
I tried making a list without Witchelves and Execs for once ;)
And make use of what the other armies have to offer.
This is my list at 1600, after 2 rounds of test play
(it did really well so far)

Dreadlord
Dark Steed, Heavy Armor, Sea Dragon Cloak, Shield
+Other Trickster's Shard
+Giant Blade
+Dawnstone

Archmage
Level 4, Lore of Shadow
+Book of Hoeth
+Golden crown of Atrazar

12x Glade Guard
+Trueflight Arrows

11x Glade Guard
+Trueflight Arrows

5x Silver Helm
+Shields

5x Silver Helm
+Shields

20x Phoenix Guard
FC
+Lichebone Pennant

5x Doomfire Warlocks

I use the Silverhelms as screen/chaffkiller/charge warmachines or threaten gunlines.
With their incredible armor save they can last a while
Gladeguard as mentioned before are amazing with Trueflight (or hagbane) tips.
Trueflight i feel works well with a mobile army.
Phoenix guard are meant as a strong center unit, with the caster in there
Warlocks are allround amazing and i put my dreadlord in there for the wardsave,
before he charges out...

Any thoughts or feedback is welcome!

This looks a really nice list 8)

I dig your use of core heavy cavalry in an unexpected role, and the PG does make for a strong centre.

Good to read about novel HotEK approaches :D

glad you like it :)

my goal was to get some good stuff from all 3 armies
without just buffing the usual witches/execs builds (which i like a lot, but people in my meta grow tired of it)
Hope you try it sometime!

edit: just had a 3rd game (and another victory) with this list, woohoo

Since arrows are magic weapons they cant benefit form the flaming rule unless in CC.

ohh i wasn't sure about that, Woodelves are new to me still ;)
thanks for pointing it out!
nice against ethereal, but need to think of something again regen..

for now i made a quick fix on the list to make it not so rule-breaking ;)
