I have a personal preference of taking one unit of shades with great weapons and the other with extra hand weapons, so you can have options when you infiltrate. But that's a fairly minor quibble. This is a solid list and should do well against most opponents.

What is your plan for the cold one knight unit?

I´d rather have that executioner unit be a bit bigger, 25-30 or so. Other than that, you have pretty much all the hard elements in the list.

Main point is that I got them painted and love the conversion (executioners on cold ones) so I took them instead of 12 other executioners in the block. So suggestions are welcome ;)

Strong looking list indeed, however, in my experience 15 executioners could easily get ripped apart before ever seeing combat. If I was you I'd take the CoK's out, as painful as it is as you've said you love them. Really U need to spend that excess in points on your executioners, either 25 or up.

I'm running something very similar and my executioners always win, but they always take dramatic casualties as we don't get the rerolls. I think you'd benefit with a full executioner load out. U have 2 nasty hammer units there.

Very strong indeed. I would drop 2-3 shades from each unit and use those points to add to your doomfire warlocks. Other than that mate, i think you'd crush anything that came at you :D

I playtested the list against Empire, and I really liked it ! Some changes :

- Death Hag is made killing biatch with Ogre Blade and Rune of Khaine
- Supreme Sorceress only gets Obisidian Amulet for 2+ ward save against magic for warlock bunker
- Executioners get once re-roll failed leadership test instead of flaming

Supreme Sorceress

Why are the shade units so big? I don't find that their usefulness is better at medium sizes (6-12). I would take the down to five each to free up some points for other items.

Big sizes are mediocre because of their ability to sustain casualties, but medium sizes can't sustain casualties much better and cost more to exercise the same movement benefits like securing vanguard positions or sneaking through lines to get at warmachines. If anything larger unit sizes make it tougher to hide outside charge arcs.

The argument for shooting prowess is noted, but even at 7 models, the increase benefit of shooting is mild. I view the shooting benefit as a nice bonus but not something to prioritize. Maybe I am wrong on that. It usually doesn't outweigh the disadvantage of no armor and that they are easy points for magic missiles. Plus with 5 models, one can die with out causing panic. That is the same for 7 models (or 8 for that matter).

I've done this list and I think it's a standard DE list. I ended up taking the weapon of the death hag because you lose an attack and poison for 40 points, but it's still good. I also added the banner of swiftness--I found this made a huge difference for being able to charge on turn 2.

The big change I made is removing the executioners and instead taking SoS. SoS win combat more often against elite infantry than excecutioners. Their weakness is before they get into combat, but you have a good bit of of other threats and MSU units to shield them.

The Death Hag is mounted on the CoB and thus can't use 2 hand weapons anyway, so you're really just losing poison by giving her a magic weapon in this instance.
