New Lizards????

My good friend is an avid lizardmen player and I try to get the competitive edge on him. I was wondering if the lizards are getting any new troops for the Storm of Chaos? and if so is there any way to deal with him. Hopefully this will help all of us trying to invade Lustria.

I haven't heared anything about new lizzies, but then I'm usually the last one to find out about stuff. Of course if GW think that adding new lizzies will hinder us in Lustria, you can guarantee that they will, as they seem to enjoy undermining the Druchii at every opportunity (but we'll still beat those pesky reptiles regardless

Supposedly we're getting Lord Mazdamundi's rules in the next issue of White Dwarf, apart from that I haven't heard anything else special.

Lizards are not getting a SoC list.

This might be because they have a variant list that is legal in their book already.

yes that is good news, and i'm glad that our race is getting a varient list, we needed one, not like chaos who have like 9 different lists.

This means we've all had time to find strategies to use against the Lizard list whereas they won't have much time to find out how to crack our new list.

Use this to our advantage and send your anti-Lizardmen tactics to DA so as to inform the whole Druchii.net community!

/\\//\ our new list will not be that hard to crack especially for the lizards. Lizards are one of the hardest armies in the game bar none. Our new list from what i know looks relatively weaker the the two whole lists but that could just be me.

Sort of like a Savage Orc Saurus I presume.
Should'nt be that hard to take, especially if there frenzied.

These are the following armies that will be getting a variant list :-

Dwarfs, Chaos, Chaos Hellcannon (a new unit, not list), Chaos Daemons, Skaven, Dark Elves, Bretonnians, High Elves, Vampire Counts, Orc's, Empire.

10 new legal variant lists & one new unit.
There are no Lizards there

In regards to lizzies getting new things TPV2 says there getting something called a Maxdamui or something like that.
Any idea what it is?

Oh okay I see what you're talking about now. For clarification, that isn't a new unit it is a special character ... a slann riding a stegadon I believe. He is supposed to be the big kahuna of slann left in the world, so watch out druchii!

I've set up one just to use AGAINST dark elves for SOC. 1500 pts (so no lords - means no coatl), and contains rougly

Thunderlizard
Steggadon
Steggadon
Carnosaur
5*Terradons
5*Terradons
2*Swarms
11*Cold One Hunting Pack

comes up to 1496 points

Ah well, just watch out for mass skink armies. I saw high elves decimated by an army using only skinks without saurus support. The trouble is causing enough kills to make up points since skink units only reach 60-80pts per unit.

And salamanders.. *shudders*

well, let me explain about that Lord Mazdamundi, and you will understand why all the lizardmen players are so happy

Mazzie (let´s just call him like that, i am to laisy to type it all) rides on an nice stegadon (large target + large target), and is the best wizard in Warhammer. They say that Tepok (one of the Old Ones) has learned Mazzie magic.

Well, now you say: ´So?´

Mazzie cast (accidental?) an spell that destroyd most of the Dwarves stronghold. Yes, the walls and towers, could be destroyd by that spell (and Orcs & Goblins could just walk in then). However it doesn´t litarury stands like that in the lizzie rulebook, because they there call it rumours.

Well, what if it is an rumour?
Well, that doesn´t change much. He is still the most powerfull wizard, stronger then Venerouble Lord Kroak. Think that says enough...
