Write fluff, win campaign!

Seeing that Ulric's Thunder was silenced as a result of fluff written by Skaven, I strongly urge all of you to post battle reports against the lizardmen with a little elaboration on a specific target. I suggest centering your battles around the spawning pools and ending them with slaves throwing heated stones in the waters, causing the spawning pools to boil.

If enough of us do this, Gav may write it into the official fluff, perhaps along with some bonus, such as limiting your opponent's ability to take sacred spawnings.

Remember, this campaign involves all aspects of the hobby, not just the game. So get creative, desicrate those spawning pools, and cook some boiled lizard.

I don't think Ulrics Thunder was silenced because the Under-Empire said it would be. The attackers probably needed a helping hand, or it was scheduled to go anyway. The story the Skaven wrote was just a particulary good way to go about it.

Still, write lots of fluff anyway, if we can get anything we come up with mentioned in the campaign it will be worth it.

I think it was because of the skaven. It were skaven running up there. With something warpstoneish.

Im not saying the Skaven weren't responsible for Thunderballs death. Just that Thunderball did not die because the fluff on the Under-Empire said so. It must of been planned by GW and the Under-Empires fluff was the best way they could do it.

Okay. well, it could be because of that, but in that case, a funny coincidence.

That thunderball went berserk and had to be killed is just soooo predictable. And comon, why would they not be able to use the cannon at all just because of his death...? ....Without Thunderball, Ulric’s Thunder cannot be loaded, for the loading mechanism had long ago been cannibalized for its materials during the fortification of Middenheim.
couldn't they had come up with something better?

A huge Cannon that had a Giant for a loader, named "Thunderball" (cue James Bond music).

Terrible idea for the cannon, terrible idea for the Giant and terrible rules. That's what I put the silencing of the big gun down to...

On another note entirely, it seems the Aussie SoC website hasn't been updated for a few days. Or is it just me?
