So I changed my name (EDIT: Changed it back)

For those who are confused, I changed my name from Sneaky to Insurrectionist? Why? Because Sneaky is a stupid online nickname and Insurrectionist is way cool. Plus, the username Sneaky was the result of a stupid chat conversation when I was 12. This one is the result of a specific personality trait of mine which I have only been able to properly name when I was 17 (i.e. now). So my current online name is Insurrectionist, and if you can't spell it, screw you.

Thanks for listening.

What does it mean?

Why'd you post two posts?

That was because my internet did something silly. As for what Insurrectionist means, check www.dictionary.com.

Insurrectionist

n : a person who takes part in an armed rebellion against the constituted authority (especially in the hope of improving conditions) [syn: insurgent, freedom fighter, rebel]

Correct. I'm a rebel without a cause. Or something.

Apparently, girls go wild for that kind of thing. I'm hoping it improves my chances of scoring.

Anyone interested? PM me!

Nooo! Changes bad, changes bad!

You were Sneaky when I first got here and you'll stay Sneaky forever :P.
And you are aware of the fact that most people won't bother to write Insurrectionist but just call you Sneaky/Ins ?

"Insurrectionist the Daemon Prince* ;)

You are still Sneaky to me.

And you are still LC4 (and at one point LS4) to me, Sotek.

Doesn't that conflict with you being an Admin here?

Unless its Games Workshop he is rebelling against. Soon, Insurrectionist will unite all admins on all Warhammer forums, march against GW with his discontent army, and conquer it with this battlecry on his tongue: "For crying out loud! Enough already!"

Fearful battlecry, I know. The great thing about it is that it could apply to any situation. Those are the best kind.

Thats my prediction anyway. Don't disappoint me Insurrectionist. :P

Somehow, in chatroom terms, to "insurrectionistify" just doesn't have the same ring to it...

Sneaky: why?

You can't make (please insert new name) short yet still cool.

Damn sneaky, guess I'll have to call you Surrect now

Possible shortings of Insurrsomething:

-Surrect ()
-I
-Insurrsomething
-thingey
-mr. Long Name
-Sneaky
-TionInIstSurrInEct

All of those are easier to type, why'd you had to go with Insurrectionist?

Sneaky the Insurrectionist, perhaps? Best of both worlds.

I don't know. That devil has always looked rather sneaky to me, not so much like an insurrectionist. The name sneaky is iconic. Insurrectionist sounds too plain. Either way, you arent picking up many women on Druchii.net, so I wouldn't worry too much about your online moniker. ;)

Waitaminnit, people can do a Sneaky? I have internet notoriety?

Shucks. Maybe I should go to Sneaky the Insurrectionist.

BUT INSURRECTIONIST IS SO COOL!

Damn you people and your questioning of my decisions. Now I'm all confused. You guys can still call me Sneaky, but I will officially be Insurrectionist. So bah to you all. Look at how many times Injektilo has changed his name.

By the way, just what IS doing a "Sneaky" on chat? Is that when I get on but suddenly disappear? If so, it's because I've discovered something that requires modding. Bah again.

Hi Insurrectionist! No problem with the name change here, I changed my name from Darkadon, to Unpronounceable Symbol, back to Darkadon. Expect people to mispell your name as it is rather long. I've had Unpronuncabel Symbol mispelled many times in the past.

To go off on a tangent as I frequently do, what are the origins of people's names on this site? Mine's really bland. I joined Druchii.net, Portent, Pyramid Vault 2, Warhammer-Empire and the relatively new Karak Eight Peaks (which I good naturedly tried to promote in my sig file but sadly it never seems to have taken off) at about the same time and it was too much hassle to come up with appropriate names for each site based on my generals (Lord Kothlaine, Count Von Klingenberg...) so I needed one generic name and I had just completed Discworld Noir and I really liked the cynical, acerbic hero Lewton who always had something to say so I picked that.

How about the rest of you?

The chat Sneakifier needs fixing. We can't turn it off!

People just jump out of the chat before anyone can say anything...

My first name was....

*drum roll*

...LC4

(don't ask what it means...)

Sotek

@ Sotek: what does that LC4 mean....?

on topic: though i´m thinking about changing my own nickname, i think insurr...something really is a little difficult to spell, but as you´ve got quite a well-recognisable avatar, i think no one will mistake you for someone else. and on the nick´s actual meaning, well, everyone to his own...
