Ambassadors forum work, and Advertizing

Post by Underway »

This message is mainly for Vorchild but I want everyone elses imput as well.

We need advertizing for the campaign. That means banners, movies whatever and I think the Ambassadors will be the ones to spread it around to other forums and get people involved.

What I would like to see are ideas on the following.

Animation... funny easy animation banners or sig's
Banners... Cool looking banner for the campaign
Other site adverts...
Druchii.net adverts...
Word of mouth...
Posters to print for local gaming clubs...
Getting local clubs involved...

Jeff and Langmann are working already on the official GW end of this (being they have all the contacts) so we have to work on the cyberspace end of things.

Vorch already posted in the Ambassador's forum. I'm doing what I can atm. I managed to get the national side with us and believe me, it was hard. As for banners and stuff, I dunno how to do them :( But I guess I'll add something in my sigs over the boards :)

What is the national side?
While running a million dollar company, singing at weddings, and his frequent jetting to Spain Elton Jon style, Dark Alliance found the time to stand on the doorstep of Games Workshop like Moses and the Pharoah and calmly state, "Let my people go."

The Portugeese version of D.net.
I've put up a thread on my TRG site, but I can't do much more than that. Don't go in any gaming groups, and I don't visit GW very often.

Well Asur.org is very pumped to get involved, so you have our sites commitment. I will talk to my local outrider who has contacts with every club in my city - see if I can't get all of them involved.

Actually it was SITE and not SIDE :) But yes, let's say it's the biggest forum of my country, so, the Druchii.net of Portugal.

I have also talked to GW US - should be a link up on their website in the next week or so.

Sure thing. That's what we're here for. :)

Still waiting for some ideas... anyone? We should at least have someone develop a banner... I would do it myself but anything to do with programming has this habit of giving my computer hives...

I suck at graphics, so I shouldn't even consider doing any banner (although I can create basic ones in PhotoShop).

MDK is the official graphics designer and he will be back after the 20th of September. :)

I too suck at graphics. However, if you get me the flashy stuff, I can pretty much paper the entire town here (not so much a town as a major city ;) ) with all that stuff and get the other ambassadors to do the same in their areas. :)
