how to get rid of those "a lot unread posts/topics"

Fine, it doesn't bother me that much, it is bothering me. And yes, I've tried (somewhat) to find it here in the post, thinking it would be here somewhere.... But no, I lack the skill to search the forum the correct way.

Hence my question; how on earth do I get the "View posts since last visit (1252)" away? Any tip or am I just to accept as they are?

That is just an indicator on how many new posts the site has gotten since your last visit. Some people use it to see what new posts has come, and if they are any interesting. If you don't wnt to scroll through them, don't click the link.

I might have misunderstood your question, though.

Yeah, you did misunderstand...

I understand what it says, the purpose of it. However, I don't know how to tell the site that I've seen those...
Not that I have read every one of those, maybe not even a single one... Neither I don't want to! :p

Simply, I don't care how many posts there has been since my last visit.

Sorry for the swedish, I just wanted the question to be understood ;)

The counter gets updated every time you log in to the site. As soon as you log out, it will start counting the number of new posts, and view it to you the next time you log on.
