First of all, is there interest in an army points calculator?

I made an exel table where you can insert the number of models for each type of units in your army and it will calculate the army points automatically.
So you can play around a bit to make an army list.

It is not yet totally complete, since city guard and some magic items are missing.

If there is interest, tell me where to upload it best.
I personally think it schould belong to the black forge,
if one of the moderators wants to put it there, I can send it to you via e-mail.


An enhancement could be a Website based version of it, using much Java Script.
I have some skills with this, but I don't have much time for a project like this.
However, you might be able to convince me doing it, if I get support from other programmers.
(who write a unit database for example)

Such programs already exist, ArmyBuilder produced by wolflair (I think) is the most popular and IMO best one. IIRC thegreatuncleanone.org has an army building program in it too.

However, i'm sure there would be interest in your proggram from those who don't have armybuilder and don't want to have to go on the net to calulate their army without pen and paper.

Great Unclean One has an online builder, so it might of interest to you to see how theirs works compared to your own ideas.

Army Buildder from www.wolflair.com looks quite good
(only the installation asks too much) - but, its not freeware.

DaFraids Army builder isn't ready yet.

And I don't have an account for the great unclean one yet.
(although I don't know whether the army builder there is wiped out as are all other files due to server problems)
