Putting a guide in the FAQ is definitely not the way to go, people just wouldn't read it and unless it was hardcoded into the site to only allow pictures up to a certain size it would mean a lot more work for mods - it being easier to delete a picture than resize it for them (I believe anyway).

Some thumbnails would be useful, but if people link properly with a good description as the link or near it, I don't see there being that much of a problem, says a non-visitor to the P+M forum.

And Eldacar, what with the number of people who read the FAQ, do you really think they'll bother reading a page-long tech manual on how to make your pictures dial-up friendly?

Not really, no, and I said as much. ;)

Like I said: allow ImageShack thumbnails, which are only 3-5kb heavy at the most. Nothing else is needed.

I've got no problems with that, really - I don't often visit P&M anyway.
