I've been thinking we could do with one. I'll ask people to reply/vote for this poll. That way we can see what everyone else on the site thinks.

Why should we have yet another sub-forum? I don't see that many threads about video games. I think that the Off-Topic forum suits these threads fine.

This is what off topic is for. There isn't enough video game related traffic to really justify a forum by itself.

I voted no - the OT forum has more than enough space to allow for videogame traffic at the moment. If you want a forum purely for video games, then go to the GameFAQs site or Gamespot.

No, like Roks said, there just isn't enough motivation to create one more forum.
This site is basicly for Warhammer related discussions and ideas. And besides, there are enough forums to discuss games is don't you think?

I think its an interesting idea, but not really justifiable at this time. If off topic got really into a lot of video game posts and the like, then yeah, I think we could put in a new forum, but the idea being that you need to show the need for it before we build it for you. *must now go play video games instead of working...*

This is a Warhammer site, not an off-topic or video gaming one. Furthermore, this is not Warseer that appeals to a broader base of posters and has much more of them. Ergo, no need for a video game forum.

another vote for: no way. we have too many forums as it is i think. and video games discussions tend to be rare here anyway, better to go to a forum for that game i think

Off topi suits it fine, this is a GW forum not a video games forum first and foremost.

While I'm convinced quite a few users play video games every now and then, it's not the niche that this site aims at. Look at the subforums we have here: most are related to Warhammer in some way, and the rest is allocated in Off-topic.

Besides, creating a new forum would involve finding moderators who are not necessarily skilled in Warhammer but are instead computer technicians and/or regular gamers.

To the matter that I'm in favour, that has pretty much everything to do with present users, and how the site is managed and moderated.

To summarise: I'm convinced it would work, but doubt it would have the traffic to warrant a new subforum.

Despite being a regular computer gamer, and knowing a bit about computers, I voted no. It's not what this forum is about.

HOWEVER, if one was created, I would happily mod it.

I voted "no" as in "not yet". There are at least two video games under development (one mmorpg and one rts) but as long as there is no significant Druchii content out off-topic area is sufficient.

Why have a forum now. Wait until Mark of Chaos and WAR come out and see if the volume of video game posts increases significantly. If it does consider it then.

No, definetily not... While there is the occasional thread or two about video games, a sub-forum for that is not needed...

If WHOL turns out to be good I can see us starting our own guild for it. At that time a Guild forum with restricted membership may be in order.

As for a regular computer gaming forum: hell no.
