Hi,
I've tried through the profile options to change the background colour of the forum but it seems that there is only the black one.
Is it possible to have a clearer, neutral colouring?
I can't read the forum for more than 5 minutes...

You can do it at least in the Internet settings of your browser. It will turn all into white so no gray or metallic colours - just black and white (I think...).
I thought you can also change the colour in your profile but if you can't find it, I think you might need to contact Mods.
