Some markup tools

Post by Daeron »

Greetings,

Every once in a while a user may want to write a larger article, post, or battle report. Such large posts often have "chapters" or sections in the article, decorated with a title-ish text. In case of battle reports this can denote a new round in the fight. Or in the case of a large article, another part of the post.

We leave it to the users to come up with styles and markups to have their sections stand out. Perhaps we can provide a few standard markups. This would promote:
- Graphically enhanced titles, to make larger posts more attractive
- (more) Uniform usage of titles and markup
- Improved readability

Such titles could be made easily accessible with bbcode like:

Code: Select all

[h1]Big title[/h1]
[h2]Subtitle[/h2]

<some content>

[h2]Subtitle[/h2]

<some content>

Which would give something like:

Big title
Subtitle
<some content>

Subtitle

<some content>

But preferably something a little more fancy, graphically :)

Cheers,
Daeron

I like this idea a lot. Make it easy for people who are unfamiliar with the inner workings.
