A humble suggestion

When we switch over to the pan elven forum, I would suggest leadership message the administration of lustria-online.com

Not only is the forum modern, the interface is very user friendly.

It's a nice suggestion. I checked it out.
The plan was to get an interface more similar to that one, or more modern at the least. Technically, we could achieve similar results with the platform we're moving to. The software used by Lustria-Online is paid, with an annual fee that would nearly double our expenses. I'd rather try to squeeze more out of the free software we're using.

But I'll definitely keep it in mind. We might use it as an inspiration to improve our website once we moved on to the pan-elven forum.

Hmm, so our current software/hosting is free? If so, what costs? Bandwidth? Back-ups?

Our server is a paid hosting service. It's competitive with the market, now, particularly considering the amount of disk space we're consuming.
We have virtually unlimited disk space and bandwidth. It's a virtual private server so our computing power is more than we need at the moment. In theory we could try Shared Hosting services which could be cheaper, but they tend to have more limited disk space and yield slower sites. Roughly guessing, we might save 12$ a year at best and end up with a much slower website.
The software we use is open source: phpBB.

Then I would respectfully say that we should stay as we are; I could easily cover that $12 difference myself by a quick donation, all it would cost me is my weekly trip to our local deli.... ;)

 Stalled.

No interest from Ulthuan, no manpower from Asrai, vanishing commitment from here.
