Worst Fantasy Army

For a short time now there is a topic running in the WH 40K forum about the worst army ever. I think that is a good idea and I would like to hear your fantasy versions. One that came through my mind:

Noble, Great Weapon, Repeating Crossbow, Dark Sword, Divine Eye, Talisman of Protection, NO armour

What do you think? Can it be worse?

You could give the Hag from the CoB Witchbrew. As the CoB is Unbreakable anyway this item will have no use and so theres a few points wasted.

Just want to jump in and mention that i think if we are going to play this game, we should make the lists semi realistic... otherwise i win

, I hadn't thought about the witchbrew upgrade for the Hag. I like the Blade of Ruin indeed better on the sorc, but the 2 extra units of DR's would make the list too manouvrable IMHO. The harpies are already at max. (1 unit of max. 20 models), but nice you thought about it.

The assassin can't have an add. HW and the Chill Blade... so it is illegal to boot

1x high sorceress level 4 ring of hotek + power stones

Powerful but unable to cast without killing herself

2 x level 1 sorceress mounted on cold one with shadow magic (use default spell)

being mounted on stupid beasts, these ladies have no use whatsoever for their magical powers

Items -, black staff, power stone, soulstone

1 BSB naked except for a cold one and the dread banner

A full 75 points spent on a useless banner

10 devoted

tough as tissue paper

3x15 & 1x7 shades with all upgrades and the mark of Slannesh

Huge, 230 point units that cant flee or fight their way out of a wet paper bag

What do you think? Can it be worse?

How are the dark riders or warriors wasted points? Sure the herald is a waste and the std is gonna be pretty hard to get value out of, but the DR can still flee and both can redirect. Also, neither the sorceress or assassin are wasted points. Lvl2 and possibly the black amulet are wasted (though not vs a Khorne lord or the whaite dwarf). The assassin is not all wasted points, probably just about 50% overpriced. Even the High sorceress still gives 2 dispel dice so that's about 40-50pts not wasted plus the leadership bonus either her or the noble may give the army as general/unit leader. You could even make an argument that the cauldron is useful in an army like this with lots of low strength attacks, although the damn thing is overpriced in even the most optimised army.

You could probably still beat an empire army comprised of an engineer with no upgrades and 3 blocks of 129 halberdiers...

Grimgor ironhide, one unit of 50 naked wolf riders and 2 units of 40 naked wolf riders... If you haven't got something that can shoot grimgor or beat goblins wolf riders in cc, you army should probably be in this post...

Or a lvl3 master necro on a winged nightmare with the frostblade and the rest of your army's points spent on zombies...

Or, heck, there is only an upper points limit in warhammer so, beat this for a 2000pt army; empire master engineer and 3 units of 10 halberdiers...

The first list of 20 harpies is illegal because you can only take 0-1 units of Harpies and the unit size min-max is 5-15. If the executioners are lined up single file on a really really long board imagine how funny that would be.

That's clever and a draw would be fairly easy to pull off (depending on the opponent) Funny but not exactly a great or fun game. I might do this to my friend sometime just as a joke before a real game.

If he wipes the entire army, gets all four table quarters and the general, it's 680 VPs. If it's a Pitched Battle. Most tournaments use scenarios instead, to avoid these kinds of odd armies.

and the rest - 1 huge regiment of spearmen deployed in impassible terrain of course.

It is from a fluff perspective.

I dont know what threadomancy is but my point is that you take the king of the dark elves and back him up with rubbish. That imo is the worst kind of dark elf army.

oh i looked it up and its hardly threadomancy seeing as i found it on page 1 and theres only 1 page to the topic . Why dont you watch wat you accuse ppl of.

Azure didn't mean any harm from his comment handmaiden so no need for the aggressive tone. It doesn't matter if it is still on page 1, if no one has replied for longer then 2 months then you can assume the topic has completely rotted.

Threadomancy is a fancy word for Thread Necromancy which is another fancy word for reviving a dead topic.

That is not two months, and whats funny is that if I had created a completely new topic covering the same thing on the same page as this one, then people would be complaining that i should have found and posted in this topic as is described in the "search rules of ettiquete".

I didnt mean to offend you in any way, just trying to inform you of a rule that you may or may not have known about. The common way to talk about subjects that have passed their date (or over ripened I like to think of it as) is to create a relatively similar thread and then link it to this one and just have people post on the new thread. At least thats what it says to do in the Forum Rules.
