 Would enable you to resurrect the pre-new book deadliness of Swordmasters and White Lions plus having two flying tanks! :burns:

Hi guys,

Nice to see your excitement about the new High Elves :D

I think mobile army based on cavalry (or even full "cavalry" force) can be very interesting to play with. Powerful in attack, very fast but with not much ability to inflict a lot of damage in subsequent rounds of combat can be a challenge. I presume it would also look great too!

However, as I have said before:

1. Step by step - I am still trying to find out which direction I want to go to.
2. What do you suggest should go to make room for new entries?

Cheers!

I have been fiddling since the new book came out and gave my PG a shot at 20 strong. They are completely dominant and the SM have been lethal but not very survivable. As a rtesult I've settled on a more dispersed list than usual. I always try to have a lot of drops and this list has 9 for 2,000 points.

Characters
Loremaster - DH, scroll & Talisman of preservation
BSB - ring of fury & 4+ ward shield

Core.
15 archers with muso & std
15 archers with muso
5 reavers with bows
5 reavers with bows

Special
10 SM with muso
10 SM with muso
14 PG with muso, std & razor banner
14 PG with full command & banner of discipline

Rare
Frost phoenix

9 drops, 91 models and 1995 points. Everything runs 5 wide with the characters in the two PG units.

Hi Rabidnid,

I saw your army at Ulthuan. I am curious about PG as on paper it looks like only SM are capable of dealing some proper damage. What are your experiences so far?

Cheers!

They just don't die. In there most recent games they have gutted a okkamed unit of of 12 CoKs with the ASF banner (they had the razor banner) and ate a hydra without the help of flaming. They are basically little islands of stability for everything else to run around. 20 with a BSB (5 wide) have never come close to losing a combat. SM are far too situational now to be a heavy combat block, so now they have to pick their fights and avoid attrition combats because they will lose without re-rolls.

Hi guys!

I have recently attended a tournament and I have just started writing reports from my games. The first one I played was against Dark Elves

Here is a link to the report from that game: Battle 1 - 2400 vs. Dark Elves

I hope you will find it interesting!

Cheers!

Ha! So that is how you develop your strategy for the future! Execute incompetent generals and use censorship to stop the rumors of the defeat to spread. :-P

There's a plan to execute the whole present DE army book.
It did not allow us to claim back our rightful land.
Just wait a couple more months...

I really hope that the new book doesn't come complete with another new invasion of Ulthuan, led by Malekith, which reclaims all their land and rebuilds Whatsitcalled and advances to the Gates of Plot, but that is thrown back in the nick of time by x.

We're on, what, 4 now? 6?
