I'm in Estonia, and thus joining the Druchii forces of Northern Europe in the campaign.

My allegiance is completely Khainite (big "no" to Slaaneshi heresy), and my loyalty to Malekith is complete.

Of the opponents, I will be most likely fighting against goblins, lizardmen, ogres, dwarfs, asur and probably also bretonnia and skaven.

Greenskins, asur, ogres and brets will be my main opponents but the cold steel, sorcerous powers and unmatched strategies of the Naggarothi shall leave them all in the dust or one of our many dungeons.

I like the idea of raiding the temple and then bringing the spirits there in uproar.
Is there somewhere that i could read some more background for the temple? Having a hard time finding it on the official site.

Also(This is very ambitious, and probrably needs the Asur to find the crown), The High Elves would try to trade the crown for the stolen Phoenix Crown, wouldn't it be a blast if we could snatch the Phoenix Crown in the process?

There isn’t much background about the place. All there is, is a little mention in the text about the howling heights. That’s all there is for now.

I would certainly laugh my ass of, but it never going to happen. for a few reasons;
One, the dwarfs are never going to give the phoenix crown back, no matter what is offered as trade.
Two, the high elves are never going to get the nemesis crown for we are going to kick their skinny arses all over the great forest.

Oh yes I would point and laugh every time I saw an Asur. But if the Dwarfs won't give it up, but the official site does suggest that the High Elves would try to trade crown for crown.

oh btw. I'll be loyalist

It might suggest that but we all know better.
The only thing the dwarfs like more then their gold are their grudges, and the crown stands for a awful lot of them.

btw. Only loyalists in Howling Heights so far. :D

I made a topic over at asur.org to discuss the possibility of working together in the making of our fluff. That way we can both reach our goals and we once again double the chance of GW accepting our little stories.
Feel free to support or burn me in this thread: http://www.asur.org.uk/ulthuan/viewtopic.php?t=21518

btw. You need an asur.org password to view the topic.

You mean you are not doing it yet? At least I do. ;)

My main opponents will be HE and Stunties. I would love to embark on a personal campaign versus the high elves and just raid the dwarves for their valuable minerals. How this fits in the whole, you tell me!
I'm sure there is a way my personal campaign versus those 2 races can be beneficial for thy stories :)

It seems you guys have more or less a list in mind of things you want to accomplish and simply need the body to fulfill it so I'll throw in a couple of battle reports doing exactly that. As long as I can write "I would still kill them even if it wouldn't fit a higher purpose than my personal preference" I can melt the report any way you guys want into the bigger whole.

On another note: why don't we concretize a list of objectives. There are many ideas floating around here but there seems to be a lack of saying "OK, we will do THAT" and refining the objectives. Perhaps we could:
- list a few starting objectives (2 or 3 will be more than enough)
- see how we go from there
- decide a bit of a time schedule for doing the objectives (say, this week we do A)

Regards,
Daeron Syriath

I just thought of something: why don't I make a large campaign map of the Howling Heights this weekend. I would coordinate with you guys and place markers on the map where you guys think your coordinates should be. This way we could visualize and concretize our stratagems and cooperation (e.g.: you raid the temple from the north, I raid the support lines from the south).

We had sort of decided to raid the temple of the fallen. On which I now made numerous plans together with the chaos dwarfs.
Why the temple? It probably holds magical artefacts and the asur are there.

We also had a few votes for the raiding of Leopoldhaus. But no battle plans have been made so far.
Why leopoldhaus? It holds gold and slaves.

Any thoughts an objectives are still welcome.
I’m still thinking of creating a location of our own and make a fluff objective around it.

Aldo we need to take in account that we might need to fight for the chaos dwarfs somewhere. After all they help us so we should help them.

As far as maps go, I was going to make one but I haven’t found the time yet to do it.
I do however have the plans of most of the other races for the howling heights and a map with the names of all the locations.
So if you think you have time for it, let me know and I will send you all the information I have.

I think we should wait till after raiding the temple to decide what we do, something more interresting that looting might appear

It will never hurt us to brainstorm in advance. We can always change our battle plans later on.

I’m currently working on a in-game alliance with the vampire counts. We want to wake the dead to annoy the asur. They want to raise the dead to make a camp. If that isn’t a nice opportunity to work together then I don’t know what is.
So far they seem interested, so let’s hope it stays that way.

I wrote out our battle plans by week and according to me it should look something like this;

Week One

- Settle down in our camp.
- Dispatch THE shade force to look for the crown.
- Fight minor skirmishes while exploring the howling heights.

Week Two

- Full scale attack on the temple of the fallen.
- Write THE shade force out of our area to look for the crown else where.
- With the help of our allies slowly push the asur back to the temple. (end of the week)

Week Three

- With the help of our allies and the master plan of the chaos dwarfs we drive the high elves back until they barricade themselves inside the temple.
- Raise the dead in the temple and let them slaughter the asur in side. (end of the week)

Week Four

- No other ideas yet.

Week Five

- No ideas yet.

Week Six

- Get the hell out of the old world with all our new shinny goodies and cargos full of slaves and gold.(end of the week)

Now we need to keep some time free for stuff we might need to do for our allies, but even then we still have plenty time left to do something else. So does anyone has any fancy ideas?

Also does anyone have a nice idea were we should make camp?

I'm not gonna play cause my army is still to smal but just like to be involved a bit (reading an making you get idea's , ....)

if you are going to attack the temple you would need to send ship to scout the coast line's for the HE there supply ship , you should attack these a day our less before the attack (in warhammer time of course) so that if the attack fails (probably won't happen other wise you will be sacrificed on great
khaine his altar's ) thy wouldn't have supplys and be weak and in the mean time we are looking for other ways.

so you have more battle and even sea battle's

ps : belgium rulez

I think that a full scale attack on the temple is a nice plan for week two.

Are people up for it?

We could also:
We could raid Leopold House
We could check out Mandredsfeld for lost artifacts
We could ofcourse go investigate the mine.

What does people want to do?

I will propably go and check the Mines (the Blood Beneath the Branches is a perfect scenario for that) And then I head to the Temple. Full scale attack sounds nice, indeed.

I fought one battle at the Temple....
However I'm quite interested in the Tower of Mourning and the old widow (probably some kind of witch) living there....

Sadly I'll probably not be playing, as I don't have a standing DE army currently, and I can't join with DoW, even though I'd love to make the extra gold fighting for the druchii... But, just thought I'd share an idea...

What about making a false crown? Kick some Azur but, disguise a couple of assassins as Azur emisarries to trade for the phonix crown. Has anyone ever seen the crown? Likely GW will never accept it, but it is very druchii.

If the old phonix crowns design is known our smiths could also just make one, claiming that it was traded with the dwarfs. The dwarfs gain by letting the HE think that we have their crown (total humiliation) and we gain a moral victory...

Just some thoughts...

DoW are fine. Just registar as druchii. GW have confirmed that it's fine to do so (as I shold know, my VC are with you guys this time round.)

@xerasi:
A fake crown is a good idea, if we were the first to come up with it.
The chaos dwarfs have come up with a fake crown idea about a month ago, and there idea might get GW approved too.

ps. Register as a Druchii and stump them to pieces as a Dog of War. The chaos dwarfs have registered as Orcs and GW said that was alright, so why shouldn’t the DOW do the same.

@everybody:
I’m still looking for something fun to do for the last three weeks of the campaign. Leopoldhaus is probably to crowdy. The Tower is probably not interesting enough for the Druchii. Juttersdorf is probably not worth it. So few fun things to do for sadistic elves.

Mainly raid about the empire? The official fluff said something about us dark elves just exploiting the situation and getting lots of slaves, didn't it?
