Black Guard, Sorceress and Assassin - painted
Hi
I have finally finished my Black Guard unit, as well as my sorceress and assassin. I am not too happy with the way the conjured magic swirls of my sorceress came out, but I will grow used to it.
At the moment, I am busy painting my Hydra.
My other painted DE can be viewed here: http://s63.photobucket.com/albums/h137/oktanol/Dark%20Elves/?albumview=grid

I really like your colourscheme; very undruchii, but the way you paint the models it doesn't look like some elves feeding their nice horses. They look evil .
The sorceress' magic swirls could use some highlights however

Very nice! Not the typical color scheme obviously, but very well done.
My only criticisms are that:
I don't like the way you've done the weapon blades. It seems to me that the lighter color on the blades should only be on the sharp parts, and not on the un-sharpened parts of the weapons.
I think the highlighting on the black cloth (like the assassin's cloak) could be blended a bit more.

These are very cool and beautifully done. Yellow is a rare choice but it worked out fine.

Hi, thanks for the feedback.
I did put on extreme highlighting on the swirls, but it started making the model looking 'funny', so I reverted back to less highlighting.
I think I will use Boltgun Metal in stead of Mithril Silver on the metal parts that are not sharp.
thanks for the comment on the black cloth - I will soften the highlights on the black cloth for my next projects.
You pervert!

I have to add that the back of the sorceress looks very sexy with your colour scheme ^^

Very nice mate. The painting level and scheme are very good.
My only criticism is that the blade egdes look to out of place to its much darker middle. I would probably try to blend the colors into each other some more.
Other than that great work.
cheers.
