Dark Riders made from new Morgul-Knights?

Post by Tribun »

The dark knights of Sauron have always been in my mind to become druchii -DR, but they are so expensive...now the plastic boxes of the morgul knights are out. what's your opinion to this idea?

Lovely models. Far too small to be used for Dark Riders though Im afraid.

Not that small actually but out of scale.
28mm Heroic scale does not look all that good mixed with 25mm true scale

But they wear wide black robes, so it wouldn't matter so much...and scout would ride smaller, and faster horses...or?

I know what the scale is, and for some LotR models it works...

But I have seen these in the flesh and they would look like children riding ponies in a WFB army. Your funeral though :P

I have painted a set myself. I thought the same thing, or almost the same, as I was painting them... how long until someone wants to try and pass them off as Dark Riders? And I thought, I'll just have to tell them what I know. They are far too small, and they pretty much don't look at all like elves. They have skeleton faces for goodness sake.
