Master needed for Pegasus...
Hey there, I've just ordered a morathi Pegasus on eBay but I'm stuck trying to find a decent model for my master. Considered a Cok but that wasn't special enough. Anyone got any suggestions?
Cheers!
Cheers!

The Morathi model is the not a great start for a master on a Dark Pegasus unless it is a female master -- Morathi's legs are part of the Dark Pegasus body and not easy to remove.

This.
But otherwise, the dreadlord from the black dragon kit is really lord-like.

Re: Master needed for Pegasus...
I'm using 6th edition cold one knights. Otherwise, it would be a kitbash I'm afraid. We do lack character models don't we? I always envied the High Elves for theirs

Re: Master needed for Pegasus...
Is it the finecast Morathi or the metal one?
The removal of legs can be done, but just takes a little patience and green stuff.
In the past I have used CoK legs and half of the body of the old metal executioners with their GWs above their head. Looked pretty good.

It's a metal one so it's going to take a bit of filing or I could try to green stuff some armour onto the legs.

Trying to remove the legs with a file would take forever.
I would forget trying to remove unless you have a Dremmel or similar tool.

Re: Master needed for Pegasus...
I'll second or third the above, i.e. I'd use COK legs and then find something that you like from all of the cool models that we have to choose from nowadays...cut him/her in half and slap that sucker on your legs and you are good to go.
As for lack of characters (I've been saying this for years) I think it's a good thing because it encourages very one to be creative and make unique and interesting character models for our armies.

That's silly! Playin with little statues, pretendin' they're fightin'! Why not just round up a bunch of real goblins and lettem' whack it out?
Re: Master needed for Pegasus...
We may not have a lot of dedicated character kits... but we have a lot of plastic kits to draw from to make some really unique characters.
And for a bit of extra variety, we can also draw bitz from High Elves to spice things up, or wood elves, or even Chaos...

Re: Master needed for Pegasus...
Model arrived and I think I should be able to cut the legs off with modelling clippers? What do you guys think. Terrible model in terms of the pieces fitting together....

The legs can be clipped off and filed. What you may consider is using some green stuff as a kind of saddle blanket over the butchered area, to tidy it up.
Re: Master needed for Pegasus...
Cheers that gives me the confidence to butcher that Pegasus!

Re: Master needed for Pegasus...
Don't hack the legs off if you can avoid it, as the legs obviously fit the model perfectly and she wear's some nicely detailed armoured boots if memory serves. The best (easiest) move would be to sculpt chainmail armour over the tops of the legs and then just sit a suitable torso on it. Then you just need a head you like and a greenstuff cloak and you should have an imposing model (assuming the torso has arms with it).
Re: Master needed for Pegasus...
You know, why not use a spare female torso from a kit for the morathi legs and have a male mini behind it?
