Help needed for a conversion

Post by Rowena »

As it seems everyone has to have warlocks, I decided to finally put together a conversion of them, but I can't find any bits that would work with what I have in mind. So I would like to turn to you and ask for help.

Does anyone know where I could get rider legs with no armour and no skirts? The only unarmoured cavalry legs I have been able to find so far were wood elves, but I don't really like their "skirts". I don't mind other manufacturers and even cutting models should that be necessary.

I would be very grateful for any tips.

I've been looking myself, have found the following non-GW alternatives.

The GW Wild Riders looked good to me, better than the Glade Riders at least

OOhh those wolf riders are very nice!

I'm going to use the fenrisian ones though. I have Wild Riders for my Master Bus, but those things are expensive!

@ Rowena. Only thing I can think of are Hellion legs ...but that might not be what you are looking for.

Do you have any idea if they would fit well on a horse? If yes I might consider them. Thanks for the tip.

I also really like the raptors, the stags themselves are brilliant (it almost makes me sorry I'm not doing wood elves), but I can't see exactly what the riders are wearing. I guess I'll try to google more pics.

Thanks very much!

The raptors do look great, I'd buy them myself but I'm trying to keep costs down. I need to source five legs and five horses so I can build a warlock unit out of the leftovers from assembling five dark riders :/
