That's a better use for the Wood Elf dragon heads than on their dragon. But it sure is an ugly model. Is that circa 4th/5th edition?

Re: Wackiest GW model ever?
It was only ever available through mail order.
The parts are the Spined Dragon body, and, as you have noted, the Forest Dragon head, so mixed 3rd edition and 4th edition parts (sold during 4th edition).
I had actually forgot all about the existence of the model until a random google search jogged my memory.
It was always too expensive for a pocket money budget, but I wish I had got one now for the nostalgia factor
An acquired taste for sure ...but I actually dig it more than any other DE Hydra model
Put that thing down on the table opposite your opponent and he'd **** himself

Re: Wackiest GW model ever?
Terrible waste of the excellent spined dragon body if you ask me. That wood elf dragon was terrible, but using its snakey necks to make a hydra is a good idea...it's just a shame to ruin a great spined dragon to do it. That is one of the nicest dragons (I think the best) that GW ever made.
That's silly! Playin with little statues, pretendin' they're fightin'! Why not just round up a bunch of real goblins and lettem' whack it out?

Re: Wackiest GW model ever?
Got any links to pics of a non-converted Spined Dragon? Personally, I think the wackiest model ever made that the Empire could use has to be the Goblin Hewer or possibly the Manann class land ship from Forge World.
