Thank you for kind words.

Where did you get that model from?

I have found it thanks to Rowena's topic about alternative models on 9th Age forum. Check out her signature: Armies of Unsupported Age. There are many great models that I haven't seen before. Worth to take a look.

I'm very glad my little topic was actually of use to someone. I actually learned a lot about models myself while making it. :)
(Unfortunately I knd of burned out after finishing it and I have no time and energy still to maintain it fully)

Also, I love your style. The medusa - brilliantly painted, the subtle colours and colour differences on the spear or on her tail are just stunning - fits all the others much better than the original one would, in my oppinion. :)

Even without Games Workshop, we will endure. Armies of the Unsupported Age, the models are out there.

Here is my progress made in February and March. This time I asked a friend of mine to take the pictures of my minis and I'm very glad with the result.

First come Shades for February Challenge:

Also I've managed to get this old mini - it will serve as Wandering Familiar in my 9th Age battles:

Making Shades took so long because my Medusae also demanded some attention (I'm on a good way to make a full unit of five, different models):

Thank you.

Update for April challenge - small band of DR:

DR1.jpg

@Lord Drakon: I was about to start painting 5th medusa when the 9th Age Rules Team changed the whole design of the unit... How disappointed I was is hard to describe. I was sure that the base concept will remain the same. Just for you I've took a photo of the unfinished group. But I don't know if it will ever be ready, because I'm getting angry when I think about what they have done with them... And now for at least six months nothing will change... !mad!

Med-full.jpg

But I've finished something else instead. Bigger update is comming... I just need to take care of pictures.

@Amboadine: It's hard not to get mad - I like playing with miniatures I paint, not just putting them on the shelf.

@Cult: Under the current rules - absolutely nothing :?

But here's the bigger update I've promised:
- the Altar that I've been painting slowly for few months:
Image

- and my pride and joy... fully finished army at last:

Wow amazing army! Simply glorious :D

I feel your pain about the Medusae, but please play them! They have become special so you can take 3, and only 70 points each, so only one painted and one unpainted model to leave at home and ofcourse you can switch usage based on the performance of each Medusa in the battlefield to make it a little more fluffy ;) Don't care about their failure or success in your first battles, eventually you will master them and I expect they remain a rare sight so many opponents will not know how to respond properly until its too late! They are too cool to not be used! You also saw how Marchosias used his two Medusa and eventually became a sort of expert with their old rules, you can become the expert with their new rules.

Woooah - all I can say is you have made my morning - they are beautiful!

I love the colours on the cauldron, very dark and foreboding.

There is no better feeling than finally having your army all painting - just the downside of starting the next one :D

Fantastic looking army. Especially that Cauldron.

BTW, what is that in the centre at the back of the army photo? Between the reaper and the dark riders?

Yeah I also noticed, something like a converted RBT? I would love to see a close up!

If I had to guess, it looks like somebody in a cloak holding a big repeater arbalest, which I guess would count as a RBT. And it's on the same size base as the classic RBT...

Thank you all for your words of compliments, I'm really glad you like my army that much. I am very satisfied of the final effect myself.

@Lord Drakon: Thanks for encouragement, but I just wanted to play them as a big unit, they were very interesting and were adding a unique flavour. Single models running around just aren't the same. I'm sure you know what I mean. All what is left is a hope for better future for them.

@Lord Drakon, @Shadowspite: You have spotted John Rambo. In Druchii incarnation. Originally he was supposed to be champion in the Shadestar unit. He was holding scourgerunner harpoon. But I've converted it further, made it bigger and added magazine with bolts. He looked badass (and a bit ridiculous) as he was reminding me of Rambo with a minigun. So I've took Milliput and added that characteristical red band on his head. Transformation was complete. He is removable from the bigger base, so he serves me either as a champion or a bolt thrower. Noone ever objected that (they were to busy laughing). I'll try to get you a closer picture after the weekend, I'm away now.

@Lord Drakon, @Shadowspite: I'm terribly sorry for the delay, May is quite busy for me. Here are the promised close ups of John R. Unfortunately pictures aren't of as good quality as those above - I've had an access only to a crappy camera this time.

That's pretty cool. And, now that GW no longer sells RBT models, a conversion based on the scourgerunner harpoon like that is a good option. If I ever decide my DEs need a fourth reaper, that's probably what I'll do.

What is the white medusa from, just out of curiosity? It almost looks like a Geisha/Drow in clothing design.

about 11 posts up?

@Saintofm: You're right about the clothing. It's Mizuki Ito from Bushido: The Game - slightly converted, I've made a glaive for her instead of the rod she originally had. It took a while to find the last medusa model for my unit, but she is beautiful: both in design and quality of the model.
