My First Chaos Dwarf Conversion/Painting

Post by Seanzala »

Hey guys,

Recently, I decided to convert up some Chaos Dwarves, and this is the first one. It is converted from the White Dwarf model that was given away with WD284 (Australia). Well, here it is:

The First pic is much clearer than the second.

All, critique/feedback welcome

I like it! Go over the beard with some blacklining and it will look even better.

ive always found chaos swarves intreging and this model sets a good example on what i think they are like.

good work. the photography could be improved a little tho. no offence.

oh and which character/units is it modeled to be?

I know the pics arent that great, but its the best I could get. Its supposed to be a lord/hero level character. The hammer could be either a great weapon or the black hammer of hashut. This is good as my one of main opponents plays TK.

Cool! I like it. Maybe the base need some more paint, though?
How many are you going for? A small warband in the same style would look really good.
I really like chaos dwarfes, but HATE all available models. You have set a good example of how a chaos dwarf should look like, so keep up the good work!

Thanks guys. As for the warband, I wouldn't build it at least until the new dwarves come out, but even then i'll be held up with Taale of Many Gamers.

The first pic is in focus, but from a bad angle. The second pic is from a good angle, but is out of focus!!!

Even so, it looks cool! I would live to see a whole army of those guys.

Well, seanzala, it looks pretty good for the first Chaos Dwarf. It could use some work, but keep it up, as I would like to see CD's Ranked Up.

Nice wrok. I personally would like to see a bigger more detailed helm.

It would be nice to see it a little closer up.

Did you GS the helm?

Cheers,

Yes, I GSed the helm and his right arm (that you can't see in the pics).

I wish I could get better photos, but these were the only half decent ones out of the 51 I took.
