Other forums have Pictures of members why not D.net?

Why not start posting pictures of yourselves etc. Lots of other sites have it...so why not D.net?

The album has a mugshot category where you can post pics of yourself. The album doesn´t work at the moment, but you can still see older pics, only the recent ones wont´work as far as I know.
The album will be up again someday, so there´s no need for a pic-heavy, bandwidth-eating pictures-thread.

A lot of people also have pics in photobucket accounts, just ask around. I for example do - i guess anyone who wants to see can PM me.

I don't think i would want people to see me quite frankly

! It would ne quite nice, but i think that the way it stands now makes everybody equal, and therefore every one is treated with respect. The moment a vindictive person sees a picture, those insults could start rolling. Its a shame that i have to think like this, but it is a sad fact of life.

As I remember, you have a picture in the Asur.org picture thread, so there shouldn't be much (if any) need to check the albums for a picture.

I've been flinging my portrait around the chat for a while, and will do so any time anyone mentions mugshots in the hopes of scaring people away. It's also my MSN avatar (and no, that's not an excuse to add me).

I have an inkling of why there's no such thread (in addition to the fact that we have a mugshot section in the album). I'm sure it has nothing to do with posting images being banned from the forums...

just a note: linking to pictures is ok in a thread. showing the pic itself isnt (due to our consideration to all those with dial up models)

as for the reason for no such thread: no one has made one and we used to use the mugshots in the album. now that isnt working. i for one dont see a reason not to have suchg a thread. i usually link my pics here as people know to show my transition

On a serious note, I have no problem with posting pictures. In an interest to reduce fan mail, I probably won't, however.

I used to have my pic up in the mugshot gallery, but that was years ago now I guess. My pic has floated up to the surface a few times now though and I use it as my avatar on my home site. If we get the album working again, I guess I'll post it up there again. I'll have to go find a good pic though...

Just to bring to light something I saw on the television the other day. (I know I know can't believe everything on the TV). People are having serious problems with what they've posted online being tied to their real life selves. Everything from employers to peer groups (for those at a schooling level) can use the information to harm you. I realize we all are a good group of people but you never know who's watching. So as principle I leave as little of a paper trail as possible.

Edit: upon googling myself I appear to have done a good job at staying below the radar.

The reason i haven't posted any pics of me is simply becasue i don't do photos. I hate having them taken and whenever i get them they make me look gormless. So i will not post a pic of me. (yet. There is always time...)

Thanks for the photos. Its odd to see photos of people on here; you kind of build up an image in your mind and they aren't anything like you imagined.

Another thing, that GW is like twice the size of my nearest store! Does it have a battle bunker?
