Converted Noble on Dark Pegasus

Post by Spiky »

Hi All,

Sure this must have been done already...

Please have a look at this conversion, from the Morathi DP using a Cold One Knight as the rider.

Just needed to reposition the wings and bingo! One Noble on pegasus :D

Please could I ask for your comments? He's been painted to fit the theme of my army - more pics available at:

Thanks!

That's pretty awesome! I really like it, but I think you could have made the wings darker and perhaps black at the "arm"parts, where the wingmembrane is attached. =) anyway, that's great stuff!
bring in the british longbows to the warhammer world where great brittain does not exist and just like in our world they should be s5, range 85", armour piercing, multishooting, rank penetrating. ... .. . NOT!

The pegasus is painted well, especially the red colour is awesome but the noble is boring, you could (and in my opinion should) have converted it.

That's pretty nice with the wings there. I wish I was that good. Sadly, I'm not, so when I did mine I had to do some serious work on making the noble fit the pegasus. After having done that, I can clearly say that anyone who can do something like you did where it looks so seamless has some real skill. :)

Nice! Really like the wings, makes your peggie look almost daemonic.

Thanks for the comments! :-)

I was trying to think of a conversion for the rider, maybe using Maleus, but ran out of inspiration ;-) needed to work fast so I could game with it!

I also like the red wings on the peggie. The highlighting on them really makes them pop out.

Wow, that actually looks nice man, keep up the good work. I am REALLY frustrated with my DP model personally, and am having a hard time getting Morathi to sit correctly. What did you do with it? Looks like you flattened the wingspan, filed off the boots, and used some GS?

Your army looks pretty good too by the way dude. I'm sure I've seen it before!

Hi Fro,

Firstly I clipped Morathi's shins from the model and filed the area smooth, then I repositioned the wings so they come out of the chest instead of from the back - I needed to file a bit of the muscle definition flat each side of the chest first and then clip/file the wings to shape so they fitted. It then was just a case of pinning the wings and popping a bit of greenstuff into any gaps.

The cold one rider was a bit of a cop-out but if I did it again I'd probably try a head/torso swap

Thanks!

Thank you, seems a bit clearer now. I'm having a hell of a time trying to work with it, and the chest has a huge gap in order for me to line the collar up correctly, I had to leave that gap which can be GS'd.

I'll try to reposition in the matter in which you specified, thanks for telling me. :)

Good stuff :) i love the way you've turned such an ugly pegasus model into something nice merely by putting a nice bloke on top and stepping away from the usual black/gray wings :)
Nice and Easy might not always do the trick, but at least it doesn't end up splattered against some wall.
