Sorry about putting the pic. I abase myself before my betters...

(The whole Druchii thing makes you very good at grovelling, had you noticed that?)

The idea behind the halfbreed thing is that he's only used as a noble for border patrols; the fluff is based around the idea that he's more or less a pet of his father and so other druchii don't pick a fight. He's generally stuck out in the hinterlands conducting raids on lizardmen; that and the fact that he's even more unpleasant than your general dark elf, so they tend to find him amusing.

In terms of the conversion, I gave him a plain sword simply to match what I usually arm him with in a game; one magic weapon, one extra hand weapon. That, and the fact that I thought another big magic blade might have been a bit over the top in 6th edition WFB. Not in 2nd or 3rd, mind you :)

You have read the rulebooks right? An extra hand weapon does nothing in the game nor can you use two hand weapons while mounted IIRC.

Have I got it totally wrong? The handweapon is +4pts (for a noble, pg 27 in DE armybook) and gives an extra attack on h2h IIRC according to the BRB. As for the mounted thing, I've never some across it. Do you have a BRB reference?*

*Obviously 6th ed; I am not one of the chosen few with access to a 7th ed BRB. :)

Well the extra handweapon + magic weapon rule has been around for as long as I can remember so you're pretty much out of luck there. I'm fairly sure of the mounted rule too, but it's never been relevant for me. Linda will know anyway.

That's a nice job there squekish snikch. Looks like he'd be apart of the unit, but looks individual enough to be a noble due to cape and cold one.

I've got one up and comming. He's almost done. here are his parts:
elven steed
cold one rider (sans head)
eldar head
GS SDC

I hope to post my dark steed mounted noble in here soon, just working on his cape. Maybe in two weeks he'll be done. I like him a lot (his hair looks like mine) and can't wait to use him. Till then it's just these two nobles on foot:

I'm planning on using the Drazahr model (http://uk.games-workshop.com/storefront ... orignav=10)
from the dark eldar range (qualtiy stuff, despite being old), with the dark rider lance/halberd thingy, malus's cloak, a CoK sheild and Malekiths gauntlet.
WYSIWYG wise, he could be using a lance/sheild, GoP/sheild, crimson death, or regular halberd configurations.
Haven't decided on a dragon though.
There would be no pleasure without pain to compare it to. Therefore heaven is a hellish limbo, and hell is everlasting joy.....

My first conversion : a she-noble mounted on cold one :

http://www.druchii.net/album_thumbnail.php?pic_id=3443

Inspired from UberTek's work, i've done it as follows :

A she-noble, mounted on cold one.
Malus Darkblade's sword, cold one, cloak, body (chest and legs).
Warrior's arms.
Witch elf's head.
Druchii : Victories : 17. Draw : 3. Defeats : 10.
Vampire Counts : Victories : 11. Draw : 2. Defeats : 5.
Bretonnians : Victories : 6. Draw : 0. Defeats : 2.
Gnoblars : Victories : 1. Draw : 0. Defeats : 1.

This is a wicked noble I found while looking through the album. This is the sort of unique character I'm looking to make (obviously it's gonna be different) I am interested to know what parts Ragian Cain used for this model.

I ve seen this model in some other places (colectors guide elves, de army book ( thats a guess but i think its in there as a bsb))

Where does this model come from it looks cool and me wants it, if its a conversion (unlikely as ive seen multiple ones yust like this one) how do you make is any help is greatly apreciated.
Nice and Easy might not always do the trick, but at least it doesn't end up splattered against some wall.

I just built a noble BSB out of the RBT crewwoman, the one with the bolt in her right hand and the sword.

I drilled out the bolt and replaced it with the backbanner of the Lord of Slaanesh on Steed.
Then I decided it wasn't noble enough, so i sculpted some fire around the sword.

Pics will come when i get my hands on a camera with macro-option.

This is my noble on Dark Steed. Using the green knight's horse with a spike mohawk. Top half of Asdrubael Vect, Malekith's cloak, COK Lance, chariot banner pole and a crossbow off of a dark rider.

First of, I have to give a kind of a "you win" to UberTek, In my oppinion those nobles are simply breathtaking. The conversionts flow nicely, and the colourscheme is amazing.

Second, I'm currently working on a new noble, I'll post some in the makings pics as soon as I get my camera sorted.

Also, I've been looking for a good torso/legs piece for a female noble, anyone got any recommendations?

the_zephyr wrote:Ok so some of you might spend hours going through threads about "Nobles" trying to find the perfect one to use in your battle games. Well now there is an easier way...

This thread is the place to ask modeling questions and post pics off your painted and unpainted nobles.

So for all you people that would like to inspire newcomers into creating their own nobles, or highbornes, feel free to post links to your master pieces.

Have fun with this post and I hope it supplies both newcomers and expert druchii to get imaginative.

Do it for the DARK LORD

These are a few of my favourite Noble models from Druchii.net

http://www.druchii.net/album_page.php?pic_id=410

^ I like this one because it has a heroic aura but still looks like a warrior with a bit flasher armour, I think this noble is quite kool. COK lance is an awesome touch.

http://www.druchii.net/album_page.php?pic_id=3263

^ This is soulreaper's amazing noble, I LOVE this model as It has one of the most dramatic postures I ever seen and it actually looks realistic! 10/10 for this one.

http://www.druchii.net/album_page.php?pic_id=1075

^ Wow, when I first saw this model i was so fasinated by it I made it my background and sent it to my felow warhammer mates (dwarf,Chaos and high elves) and well they have all recently emailed me back pictures of generals of their own army that this pic had inspired them to make.

LOL....

The first link is too my model 8)

I've been away for a while but looking forward to sculpting more nobles etc, particularly with the new WE style horses that are out there now :D
