UK GT Grand Final Winner!

I'm very happy to say that a fellow Greek , one of my weekend regular opponents and a great guy won the UK tournament.

His name is Vasilis Kasidovasilis and he plays a Lizard army.
He is an extremely good general and fun to play with.
We at our club (Strategy Hall Athens) had high hopes for him and were pretty sure that he 'd make it to the top 5 at least.

It makes me proud to be one of his opponents and .... gives me a good excuse to say everytime i lose by him ...." Eh ...yes ...but he's the European champion ... i couldn't beat him ..."

P.S. I'd like to hear how the game wen't from players that battled against him in the GT.

I have faced his list and it is simply unbeatable with DE.

It has a 2nd Gen. Slaan that has a 2+ ward save from shooting ,
has +1 to cast , produces one extra PD for EVERY spell casted and he can choose any spell from any lore.... duhhh....
Oh yes he is a BsB also with war banner i think.

A lev.2 skink priest , a M9 skink fighter that kicks ass in cc
and an army of skinks , terradons , kroxigors , chameleon skinks and fire salamanders.

I mean there is no way to beat this.

Well his slann can't choose any spell from any list.. it can just choose any list for each spell it generates... wow that would be awesome to just pick and choose the spells from each lore!

I'm curious as to see his army list. Is that sportsman's no no or is it ok to ask to see a champ's list? From the sound of it, there wasn't any saurus warriors, but it sounds like a sweet list.

I indeed miss the protection for the slann.

except for the nike warrior and the kroxigors there's no real fighting.
So something with a decent armour save can get rid of the skirmishers.

If this is the full army i don't think it's very overpowered or cheesy.

9M , 4+1 attacks on the charge with STR6 (GW) and i think a 3+ ArsV plus 4+ ward save for STR5 attacks.
He can easily charge most medium/light units and warmashines.
Even if he fails to win CR , this coldblooded rule lets him stay put and not break easily too.

ummm skinks can't have a GW O_O and you're talking about a Saurus Scar-Vet not a skink.

the skink can't have a GW and the skink has a base of 3 attacks not 4 so you must be thinking about a Scar-Vet not a skink chief.

Even with Spawning of Sotek, a Skink cannot get 4+1 attacks. The AoQ and CotJW use up all the magic allowance. +3sv and gw are not possible, IIRC.

A Scar Vet with Spawnng of Sotek and Spawning of Quetzl, AoQ and CotJW, with light armour and gw would have the stats you described and costs 176 points.

A Hunter Noble on DR can so many of th same things.
